Find it very hard to watch games broadcast in Queensland. Sharon Finnian-White and Geitz are very Firebirds focussed and not a lot of comments/analysis is devoted to their opponents.

It’s on, people. Lightning could actually beat the score and margin from the round 2 game between these teams!!!

Swifts might be finals contenders but Vixens are off their second win over Fever last round. Why can’t commentators give the Vixens some credit.

            WOW!!!

Don’t know what to say really, but how about this. Lightning equals the 82 goals and this is a 49-goal turnaround from when these two teams met in round 2.

Agreed, I really hate the commentary on Firebirds games, I understand her history with the club but Geitz is so biased.
It reminds me of Gaudion commentating Fever, but more.

We go to a timeout with Swifts up 12-7. It’s been a terrific start from them. Maddy Proud in everything again.

                      1/4 time: Swifts 17-12

                      Kumwenda 5/5
                      Austin 6/7

                      Housby 10/10
                      Singleton 7/7

What a stunning first quarter. Swifts dominated and Vixens looked all at sea at times. Maddy Proud definitely winning the battle with Liz Watson who has 4 turnovers already.

Singleton is very impressive. Nothing bothering her. Vixens should try Eddy on her. Vixens defenders are having no impact over the shot of either Housby or Singleton.

On cue Singleton gets a defensive pickup off Weston.

Vixens can’t get the ball to Kumwenda. Maybe moving Watson to WA and being closer to her will bring her into the game.

Turner is all over Austin. Austin needs to step it up.

Swifts do their homework so well. They have clearly researched how to play against the Vixens big 3, Kumwenda, Weston and Watson.

Here come the Vixens on a run. Swifts up 20-18 as we go to a timeout.

Even at 1/2 time. 28 all. MJ coming into the game and the Watson, Moloney, Eddy line up has been more effective. As has the Mannix – Weston combo.

Swifts have 37 penalties to Vixens 23. Swifts have taken the Magpies game plan from their win against Vixens.
