This is good stuff from the Tbirds, really putting Collingwood under pressure, forcing mistakes, and then converting. They lead 23-17 after 5 minutes 2nd Q.

Prediction: Williams makes the Diamonds squad in the next 2 years.

        She’s just insane.

Tbirds up 29-22 as we go to a timeout. Gabby Sinclair nailing a couple of super shots to keep Magpies in touch.

Supershot might get the Magpies back within 5

Another turnover recorded against Fowler leaves her with 138.5, look at me jumping the gun
You might not be too far off there NetballCrazy1, she’s been so impressive these past few rounds. Can’t understand how Obst doesn’t see it at training?

Do you know that good Thunderbirds team that showed up last week? They’ve turned up again this week, even though they’re without a few of their most experienced players! They lead by 8 at halftime and have made just 6 turnovers to Magpies’ 15!

                  1/2 time: Thunderbirds 32-24

                  Nelson 16/16
                  Sinclair 4/4

                  Austin 25/26
                  Dwan 7/9

Great display from Tbirds, showing last week was no flash in the pan. By contrast, Collingwood just making a huge number of errors. Molly Jovic has had somewhat of a nightmare first half.

There’s that stat… “goals from gains”. It’s normally such a problem for Tbirds but in the past 2 rounds, it’s been a huge plus for them. In this game so far, they’ve had 10 possession gains, and scored from 9 of them!

Tbirds up 41-30. Magpies have scored just 6 goals in 11 minutes in this 3rd Q.

Lucy Austin has 3 more goals than the whole Magpies team.

                          3/4 time: Tbirds 46-35

                          Nelson 22/22
                          Sinclair 6/6
                          Garbin 3/5

                          Austin 38/40
                          Dwan 8/11

Incredible performance. From both teams. Tbirds have been very good, but Magpies very poor. The current NNP score is 339-91, and that’s a fair reflection.

Wow, that’s the new Thunderbirds. Winning the ball at one end, and then safely getting it to the other end and scoring, not caring how long it takes them, just making sure they don’t make a mistake. Tbirds 51-37

Lucy Austin has had a cracking second game on Mentor. Brazill probably the only Magpie that has had a good game.

Tayla Williams is outstanding. She should have been starting 7 earlier in the year but better late than never. Very similar to Von Bertouch IMO.

Williams form along with that of Horjus in WA really should give Obst confidence to add Austin to the 10 and drop McDonald next season.

No surprise for me that TBirds change of fortune has coincided with Williams and Wilson playing full games.

Wowwww Nicole Richardson in the timeout has pretty much admitted they’re probably gonna lose? Told them to keep it under 10 and focus on the impact on the ladder percentage.

                                  @Tully
definitely agree re Williams and the change in the Thunderbirds’ form. I think she unlocks a different level for them.
