Can this game live up to the last one?

    Thunderbirds:
    GS Potgieter
    GA Dwan
    WA Horjus
    C Williams
    WD Petty
    GD Wilson
    GK Sterling

    Vixens:
    GS Kumwenda
    GA Austin
    WA Watson
    C Moloney
    WD Eddy
    GD Weston
    GK Mannix

UMPIRES: Bronwen Adams and Tayla Favell

Vixens heavily penalised early on. It’s Tbirds 8-7 after 9 minutes.

Imagine Wilson and Sterling in a team that didn’t ruin their good work 9 times out of 10

Betty, i often do. Watch them leave 🤦🏻‍♀️

Was just about to mention that I wouldn’t be surprised if Nankivell leaves after this season in search of more court time. Only been a few rounds since her return from COVID but I feel like Obst prefers Williams atm.

They’ve been more consistent with her at C. Nakiville is on a one year contract, would be sad to see her go. I think they’ll try and retain their SA girls. In my option she’s been flat this season.

    1/2 time: 27-27

    Potgieter 19/20
    Dwan 7/7

    Kumwenda 16/20
    Austin 10/13

This is a real scrap. Tbirds taking it right up to Vixens who just had the better of that Q. Interestingly, the team going to left of screen has been heavily favoured in the penalty count so far.

Now that Horjus is playing WA is the Thunderbirds roster is out of whack? ATM they have three mid-courters on the bench, Williams, McDonald and Williams. Seems weird.

    Sorry meant Nankivell

Matilda Garrett has suffered an injury and has been replaced very early on in the third quarter. Thunderbirds lead though, 31-28. And now Sterling with another gain.

Poor Nankivell… unfortunately she’s been outshone by Williams this season. Would still pick her over Mcdonald though…

I can see McDonald not getting a contract and then adding Austin as a rookie for the 2023 season.

    3/4 time: Tbirds 42-38

    Potgieter 32/33
    Dwan 9/9

    Kumwenda 24/29
    Austin 12/16

This Jamaican Thunderbirds defence is fierce. No easy goals for Vixens tonight. Tbirds with a 4-goal lead going into the last Q. Will this go right down to the finish like the first game?

Wilson/Sterling combo reminds me to the old Pretorius/Maweni combo from Lightning… Its so effective having international combos together in ssn

Why would you change the lineup that was doing so well.
