What’s going on with some of the comments? Vixens wanted to win. I don’t think they really cared how much they won by. They just wanted to win.
I cringed at every GPT by Vixens – stepping? Twice? Yikes.
But Magpies had 3 more GPTs — and poor Garbin and that air ball at the end. Double yikes.
Given the Magpies had beaten Vixens in the last 3 encounters, I don’t think it is out of the question that Magpies could be their bogey team. Good match ups all over the court. And remember, last time they beat Vixens, I think they were without Garbin and Sinclair.
I think that Weston and Mannix did a much better job defending the Super Shot this game. Sinclair is usually a gun during the Super Shot times but she got no goals at all and Garbin only got 1 Super shot. So hope they can do the same against Glasgow next week.

It’s not the 4th place I wanted to see however… I’m really looking forward to Harten vs Mentor. I seem to have missed that match-up throughout the round games.
Haven’t seen the game but not a chance Vixens threw a game to help magpies. They are bitter rivals.
Vixens have lost the last 3 to magpies so not that surprising they struggled. All year against most teams vixens have built strong leads only to watch them wither away.
Yeah, you gotta be kidding if you think Vixens are going to help Magpies out. They were just relieved to come away with a win.

I think the thunderbirds dropped potgieter 😢
She made a story post on Instagram
“I’ve had a good run, and tried the best I could. But situations change and people lie. #heartbroken”Are they that cruel to give her the bad news right after the last match?
Hopefully I’m wrong but she was a good asset to the team.Thats horrible if they did. I hope she is okay? She has opened up about mental health issues before and that would be crushing if Thunderbirds have said one thing and done another.
Probably means Mvula will replace her then.
That’s what I was thinking, maybe Mvula is replacing her. If I recall they did the same to pitman and Gooden, said they had a spot on the team then dropped them.
I believe that was the case with Gooden, and also Sam Poolman.
I feel like there was a real sentiment this season that the T’birds had gone soul searching and that there might have been a culture shift at the club, but if they have dropped Potgieter after saying otherwise I think their culture is still a big problem.
Does anyone have any thoughts about Wallam, if George comes back next season?I really hope they haven’t struck again and dropped her in a shady way. Potgeiter really isn’t the problem at Tbirds – she is a solid experienced target and has built a good connection with Horjus. Their issue is lack of supply and turnover rate midcourt – which in my opinion is down to poor coaching and a lack of on court experience and leadership. (The Pitman decision still baffles me – they were building towards something special a few years ago with her leading and steadying the ship – feels like they are perennially in “re-build” mode)
