How has Byrne not identified that her defence isn’t working?

          1/2 time: Giants 39-27

          Harten 24/27
          Dwyer 13/15

          Koenen 21/21
          Batcheldor 3/4
          Wood 3/6

Certainly not looking good at this stage for Lightning. They lost that qtr by 8. Giants appear very comfortable in everything they’re doing; a genuine team effort.

            Why not bring on Dehaney?

Steph Wood is playing at WA in this third Q and Lightning making a better fist of things. Giants still with a 10-goal lead however.

Oh that music being played during play. What has this game become? Oh, basketball……that already exists.

Giants have fallen asleep a bit here. Or perhaps more to the point, Lightning have woken up.

                    3/4 time: Giants 52-46

                    Harten 32/35
                    Dwyer 18/24

                    Batcheldor 10/12
                    Koenen 32/32

Well, how about that. The game really came to life in that Q with the move of Wood to wing attack. Giants’ lead looking a bit shaky now. Can Lightning keep up the momentum?

                      19-13 to Lightning that quarter.

Wood in WA……sometimes I think she tries to do too much when playing GA…crowds out others. Good move and Maddie H had made a few errors too, so Scherian in C works as well.

All of a sudden the ball’s flying everywhere. Giants maintain the lead as Lightning now looks for super shots. And Batcheldor & Wood both sink them. Giants 65-59

Have a feeling Scherian may retire after seeing some after match scenes

Cox overdoing the ‘lightning can do it’…..10 secs to go, 3 points behind….even with the Centre Pass…

Has the coach got something against Dehaney? She never shes her. Especially when they need her magic. She should’ve stayed at Vixens more court time.

I don’t understand Dehaney’s lack of court time. Has done well when she has played. Move hasn’t really worked out for her.

Dehaney and Hinchliffe signed two year contracts and Walsh a one year so will be interesting to see what happens next season.
