The Magpies defence end is doing well so far considering how much change has happened. The Vixens are having to take a few extra passes to get it in the circle. Hoping we get to see Ingles on court!

    1/4 time: Vixens 16-15

    Nelson 13/13
    Garbin 2/3

    Kumwenda 8/8
    Austin 7/8

A very even tussle as the scores would suggest, both teams shooting 15/16 with Kumwenda’s super shot being the difference. At this stage… Magpies in, Swifts out.

Just listening to Chatfield talking, does anyone know why coaches out with covid can’t just be permanently on the phone to their assistant coach?

21-all as Vixens call a timeout after 6 minutes in the 2nd Q. How are people’s nerves watching this?

Hmmm… Kumwenda gets called for footwork but Ms Sloppy Feet Nelson doesn’t?

The thing with the vixens that is great/terrifying is that when they don’t play well they’re still always in the contest so that when things eventually click (and usually they do) they run away with games.
Compared to say a lightning/Tbirds who when they are average they go down by 5-10 goals mid quarter… such a strong team.

In reference to Joe Ingles… “Renee’s husband in this stadium” amazing by Thwaites 😂😂

I am fine. Vixens are Minor Premiers. And agree with enozlas that Vixens have been able to come back and grind it out most games this year.

Geva calling a time out with 49 seconds to go???

Vixens still maintaining the lead. A turnover gives Magpies a chance, but they turn it over as well. And now Austin nails a super shot. This is trouble for Magpies.

    1/2 time: Vixens 32-27

    Nelson 25/25
    Sinclair 0/0
    Garbin 2/4

    Kumwenda 19/19
    Austin 11/13

Vixens able to stay composed and gradually increase their lead in that Q. Too many errors from Collingwood. Renae Ingles doing fine. As it stands… Magpies out, Swifts in

    Re: restrictions on coaching.

I think it has to do with having access to external influences. Eg she is getting insight into the other teams huddles on the TV, the commentary.

There is always strict coaching restrictions outside of the playing bench.

Was it the 1998 CWG where they couldn’t have assistant coaches on the bench? I recall Jill Macintosh wearing an ear piece linked up to Lisa Beehag.

    Welcome back Rahni..
Austin looks noticeably more comfortable with Samason on court. Kumwenda is so unorthodox and I think Austin and her haven’t fully gelled.
