      @Tully

Saw on twitter – if Fever need Pitman, they need to make the call 24 hrs before whichever game (team’s game or temporary replacement game) is earliest, and she has to be in the final ten, not as an extra training partner

10 shots to 4 a good indication of this game early. Vixens up 8-3 as we go to a timeout.

Mwai goes for a super shot. Probably not needed at this stage. But at the other end, Housby’s having a bit of a horror with 3/7. Vixens 12-5

Samason gets the start at GA but off the boil so far.

              Two great tips by Mannix.

Vixens up 20-14 after 8mins 2nd Q. Swifts really giving it a crack

Just like that, a couple of Swifts errors and a couple of Samason super shots and the Vixens have blown the game wide open. Up 28-16 as we go for a timeout.

This game is messy. Good defensive efforts from both sides but lots of errors in attack. Swift’s should move Southby to GA to get some experience down the court.

                      1/2 time: Vixens 32-19

                      Housby 12/16
                      Singleton 3/3
                      Fawns 3/5

                      Kumwenda 26/27
                      Samason 4/8
                      Austin 0/0

A super shot from Helen Housby right on half time to narrow the gap somewhat, but Vixens dominated that Q 18-10. Liz Watson is putting on a show.

Great to see Mannix having a very good game after a slow start and then being replaced last week.

Not sure about the Swifts’ changes. I know the commentators loved them. Sure Singleton was not shooting a lot but she was doing a lot through court that was keeping Weston occupied. When Fawns came on whilst she shot well Weston monstered her through court. Until then Weston hadn’t really won ball.

Vixens need to try a new WD. Eddy was well beaten by Proud and very poor in attack. Maybe Weston there with Lewis in the circle?

The MJ – Watson connection is like 2020.

Swifts’ defence is very physical. Not their usual style. Klau did a great job at GD but she needs to go back on MJ. They should try Fraser at WD.

Mannix playing like she did in preseason.

What about Moloney in WD and Mundy on in C.

Vixens up by 14 after 7mins 3rd Q. Every Swifts player who’s gone on court has been responsible for at least one turnover. That’s not a good stat.

I’d like to see Fawns get a contract. Much stronger at GS where the ball is brought to her and with Housby they need someone that’s more comfortable at GS anyway.

Austin gets in the space of Watson a lot. Very floaty and non commit all on her drives. Really would like to see her just go full out.

Mundy coming on at C. Hopefully Moloney comes back at WD.
