i agree. Romelda in her prime was unstoppable but i am afraid she’s past that now. will always be a firebird legend though

Total legend! Don’t want to take anything away from her.

I think a fresh target at GS has been really good for them though and I can’t wait to see Wallam grow. She says herself that her fitness isn’t quite there so looking forward to seeing that build. She could be unstoppable.

agreed! Wallam will only get better playing in the SSN week in week out against the best defenders in the world

Anyone notice that Verity Simmons is no longer Verity Charles?

NB12, that’s not controversial at all. As a Firebirds fan, I instantly gave them more chance of being successful with Wallam in instead of Aiken.

Totally agree, Wallal is a great target, I recently saw an interview with Tamsin Greenway, praising how good she was in superheated last year, and she couldn’t believe she hadn’t gotten a contract in SSN, , good on the Firebirds

So Kayo Sports gets back to me at 8am this morning, when their stated support hours are 8am – 11pm. At least SSN was responsive to fans/customers yesterday evening even if they couldn’t fix the problem.

I really think they need to take away the sensationalised aspect of the full on contact and clashing between players, like yes it happenes but we dont need the commentators praising it and definitely dont need a replay of ever body on body contact when someone gets hit to the ground. I also think the Aussie Umpires need to take a leaf out of the NZ umpires book and warn/caution players early to stem the flow of unnecessary contacts. This batch of umpires this year leave a lot to be desired (yes not to umpire bash but seriously how do they miss so much, and i am national b badge so i dont have some experience)

Is it just me or does JLP step almost every time she has the ball??

And if you all havent noticed from my previous messages that im a stickler from players stepping hahaha, if at this level you cant not step then go play basketball.

Any other team id start Rahni as either GS or GA, her shot is so effecient in technique and accuracy.

I wish the SSN would implement the play on rule rather than bring penalties back. NZ does it so well.
What is the rule internationally? Will Australia be caught out again? (Similar to the short pass rule)

I see Kayo has the two games tonight as Freebies, as well as the replays of last night’s games.

Big game tonight in the context of Adelaide’s season. Four home games to start the season so they will want to be 3-1 not 2-2. From round 8 on they only play at home twice and go to Sydney (twice), Sunshine Coast, Perth and Melbourne. In the next condensed period over rounds 9, 10 and 11 they play in Sydney, at home then Melbourne in a week. A lot of travel at the back of the season.
