I’d like to see Vixens go back to their starting 7 except with Samason at GA for the last quarter. It’s reliable and their starting 7 for a reasonTullyParticipantApril 16, 2022 at 6:15 pmPost count: 1264
Well done to Lightning. Great stuff. A totally different team to just a few days ago. Koenen’s best game by a long way.
Vixens have themselves to blame. They had the lead early and didn’t push it out. Weston had a couple of early wins against Wood and Wood looked angry reacting with defensive penalties. But Vixens released the pressure and Wood is now freely shooting SSs.
Good wake up call for Vixens. Back to the training court.Ian HarkinModeratorApril 16, 2022 at 6:17 pmPost count: 13964
3/4 time: Lightning 57-45
Incredible scoreline. Lightning is dominating. That Q was 24-14, including 16/16 from Koenen & 6/6 from Wood. Both of these players are answering critics today. Hard to see Vixens coming backTullyParticipantApril 16, 2022 at 6:20 pmPost count: 1264
Rahni is never given a proper chance.
Don’t have an issue with Mundy staying on. She needs court time but why does Mundy stay out there and not Rahni??
Mannix at GD. No, way too slow. Weston at GK on Koenen is a good move and I wanted it earlier but with Eddy in GD.Ian HarkinModeratorApril 16, 2022 at 6:22 pmPost count: 13964
Vixens have forced a couple of turnovers out of Lightning early in this last Q, but both times they’ve failed to convert at the other end. It’s just not their day today. Lightning hasn’t allowed them to get into a rhythm. Lightning 60-48Ian HarkinModeratorApril 16, 2022 at 6:35 pmPost count: 13964
Unbelievable result. Last beats first. But not just beats them. Beats them very comfortably. Full time: Lightning 71-58
Who tipped this one?Ian HarkinModeratorApril 16, 2022 at 6:41 pmPost count: 13964
This just proves that any team can beat any other team if they put in the effort for 60 minutes. The whole attacking line stood up – Koenen, Wood, Scherian, and a special word for Maddie Hinchliffe who was up against Moloney & Watson.
In defence, Dehaney didn’t even get on court against her old team, because Tara Hinchliffe & Walsh did the job brilliantly.
Not sure what it says about Vixens. Did they take Lightning too easy? Maybe it was just one of those days. They should bounce back.JRParticipantApril 16, 2022 at 6:43 pmPost count: 1325
Happy to see Lightning get their mojo back.
Just a shame it was against Vixens.
And a shame Rahni was not given more time, even when Austin doesn’t have a good game like her last two games.Ian HarkinModeratorApril 16, 2022 at 6:52 pmPost count: 13964

1/4 time: Giants 21-13
Dwyer & Harten both go bang with the super shot and the Giants’ lead goes from 4 to 8 in the last 12 seconds of the quarter. Trouble for Magpies who have no gains and more turnovers.D-fencrParticipantApril 16, 2022 at 7:21 pmPost count: 97
Magpies are very much missing Jovic.NB12ParticipantApril 16, 2022 at 7:28 pmPost count: 316
Wow, that was great insight into the Giants between Harten and Fitzgerald.Ian HarkinModeratorApril 16, 2022 at 7:30 pmPost count: 13964
Giants are out to a lead of 10 now, and seemingly have all the answers at this stage at least.
