Unfortunately Kate Moloney will miss our Round 6 match against @AdelaideTBirds on Saturday night due to health and safety protocols. Vixens squad member Jordan Cransberg will replace Kate in the squad for Round 6. pic.twitter.com/iWoutKs6M6

This will be interesting, will the thunderbirds have a chance now?

Looking forward to seeing Mundy on court more. She’s not getting much time now Watson has returned and she and Moloney have such a great connection.
Mundy has struggled in her cameos this year. Has been well beaten in C in season and preseason games. Will be interesting to see how she goes starting tonight.
Watson will probably have to play C and whilst she is a fantastic C it is not ideal.
If Watson – Mundy doesn’t work they should play Austin at WA and Samason at GA.

Oh yes, play Samason! Hadn’t thought of that – that’s a much better idea!
Oh shouldn’t have gotten your hopes up! They’ll start Mundy. What happens from there will depend how the game plays out…
I’d really like to see it though. Could work well and give them another option to use as a change up going forward. In that lineup once she is back Moloney would fit in at WD.
I’d like to see Moloney at WD. If she does it well then it’ll be a timely reminder to SM about Moloney originally playing that position and being the differentiator between her and JLP. I doubt JLP will ever be moved out of the C position at the Giants. I really think SM will choose only one of Moloney and JLP.
Yes, just one of Moloney or Price please. I think Price is probably the better choice but I think Moloney is probably the better C and at a stretch she can cover WA and the team is seriously lacking WA cover when the 2 first choice WA & C are also the best back ups in those positions.
Yeah, I know. But Price never plays WD in the Giants. Moloney never plays there either in the Vixens, I reckon McKinnis could put her there as a way to shore up her place in the Diamonds as a player with recent experience at top level playing more than one position. I think Moloney is a better WD than C, I think she floats too much in the Goal third as Centre. But I am obviously wrong given she’s still in that position, is captain of Vixens and she’s made the Diamonds squad. I’d have Proud before either Moloney or Price.
Swifts:
GS Housby
GA Singleton
WA Proud
C Hadley
WD Smith
GD Klau
GK TurnerLightning:
GS Koenen
GA Wood
WA Scherian
C M.Hinchliffe
WD Cassidy
GD Walsh
GK T.HinchliffeUMPIRES: Bronwen Adams and Jordan Kiss
Not really sure I get the Turner/Klau switch for this one.
I’m excited for the Cassidy/Proud match-up. Cassidy has been playing very well, but I’m sure Proud is eager to prove herself after missing selection. (And regardless, she’s always a quality player.)
Lucy Austin comes in for Potgieter tonight (club is taking a precautionary approach to minor knee injury).
Will this be her offical regular season debut if she gets on court?
