    One second to go in the quarter, umpire asks for the penalty to be set in firebirds goal third. Hoik and hope to Aallam and she basically catches and shoots it in the air and scores!

    Wallam with a goal right on 1/4 time sees Firebirds hit the front. This game has been a bit of a hot mess. So chaotic and frantic. Can you believe it… 23 turnovers in one Q?

    Sarah Klau, the only player on court not responsible for a turnover in that first Q. Unbelievable. The ball was going all over the place.

    And Klau has read Wallam’s playbook. She’s not normally a favourite of mine but I like her clever play today (and safe hands!)

    A strong Q from Firebirds, winning it 20-13, including 16/16 from Wallam after a shaky first Q. Bakewell-Doran having a ripper of a game, while Housby is doing her best to keep Swifts in it.

    6 mins to go in this 3rd Q and Firebirds have an 11-goal lead. Starting to really stamp some authority on the game. The feeding of Wallam in particular has improved a lot on last week against the Magpies.

    After a chaotic opening Q, Firebirds are now playing much more controlled netball. Another 20 goals in that Q, to Swifts’ 15 (with the aid of 3 Housby super shots).
