So many twists and turns in this match. Vixens now with another chance to close the gap. and they do. Firebirds up by 2 now.

Moloney is dominating Dunkley! This will be great for her Diamonds chances

I’ll be annoyed if Firebirds lose by 1 or 2; Bueta got called for footwork a couple of times by the umpire to the right of screen but Kumweda has had some really dodgy footwork not called by the umpire to the left

    3/4 time: Firebirds 50-49

    Kumwenda 35/39
    Austin 12/19

    Wallam 38/42
    Bueta 12/13

Terrific game, this. No idea who’s going to win. Firebirds have led for most of the match but Vixens have a bit of momentum

By the way the NNP at 3/4 time: Vixens 287.5 v Firebirds 287.5

Im really enjoying this Vixens midcourt with Watson, Mundy and Moloney; nice to see them have a strong plan B when things arent working with Eddy

Mundy has been so good since she’s come into the game.

Such a good game- so many attackers getting in on the defensive action

    And Kumwenda leading NNP count.

Yay Moloney on at WD and Mundy playing very well.

Well, Mwai proved us wrong. She was strong in the end.

    What a game!

MJ B-) Proving me very wrong.

Mundy was awesome. Really came on strong and took the focus off Watson which allowed Watson to grow into the game. Moloney was awesome at WD. I really like this midcourt, would have been handy against Collingwood to have had Moloney on Browne, next time.

Weston always seems to play well against Bueta.

Great win without McKinnis and Samason.

Possibly a mistake by Donnell in the power play, attempting a super shot at a time when it wasn’t really needed. But that’s the way it goes. It was a tremendous game. Firebirds on top in the first half, Vixens on top in the second. Worthy of a finals game?

Went to the Vixens game tonight, very enjoyable high-quality game. MJ played herself into the game + Mundy (impressed with her) + Mannix was the difference in the end. RBD a good game again for the Firebirds. I think Samason would have been a great mix-up for Austin who was a bit flat at times (quite literally, in that her shot is very flat lately!) so it’s unfortunate that she missed out.
