      Full time: Fever 50-40

Fever just too strong and too consistent. Fowler with 36/38 & Bruce with 6 gains. They’ve confirmed their top place in the group and they will be playing off in tomorrow’s final.

      Group B placings:
      1 Fever
      2 Tbirds
      3 Magpies
      4 Giants

It’s Firebirds v Swifts in this one. The loser will finish last in their group. Just 9 players for Swifts with Housby ruled out. Hasn’t hurt them so far as they’re up 5-1 early on.

No Wallace, no Housby, so Swifts have thrown in the Towell. That’s Laura Towell. She’s having a good game!

            /2 time: Swifts 22-17

Firebirds took the lead early on in the second Q, but it didn’t last long. Unfortunately, not a happy game for Gemma Mi Mi so far with 5 turnovers to half time. Wallam now being brought on for the second half.

Laura Towell has been incredible. She puts Swifts in front. Now Wallam levels. 1 minute left.

                Full time: Firebirds win 42-41

That was a great game. Swifts with a chance to take it at the death, but the super shot attempt missed.

Incredibly, that means last year’s two SSN grand finalists, Swifts & Giants, will be playing off for 7th & 8th tomorrow.

Great to see Wallam out there and delivering on what has been said about her. It sounds like she has had a rough couple of weeks, so it’s very impressive that she has slotted in so well.

Towell played better with Singleton, I think having players around you of the same experience and speed helps.

So much Australian shooting talent coming through.

Swifts did well all things considered.

Shirt kiss from Koenen and rebound to Mannix. Koenen has had a few of those of the weekend. Hopefully just shaking off rust.

Now to the match that decides top spot in the group. And Vixens are out of the blocks quickly, up 14-9 at 1/4 time. This is a high quality game so far. Samason dominating with 11/11 in 10 minutes.

Lightning did well to keep up with the Vixens that quarter with four training partners on court.

I’ve been really liking Maddie Hinchliffe’s game today!

Vixens stuck to the same 7 for the whole first half and they start the third Q up by 23-18. Now Mundy comes on for Moloney. Lightning have used all but one of their players so far. Samason still going great guns.

Vixens extend their lead and are up 36-26 at 3/4 time. It’s looking more and more like a Fever v Vixens final tomorrow.

                                  Full time: Vixens 44-38

A good display from Vixens. They had the game under control most of the way despite Lightning winning the last Q.

                                  Group placings:
                                  1 Vixens
                                  2 Lightning
                                  3 Firebirds
                                  4 Swifts
