Vixens are not my fave team, but I am very much looking forward to seeing Samason develop this season.

Even in her post game interview she was very composed.

Rahni Samason…..game maker……reads the game so well, places herself perfectly so often….and shoots….. trying to think of precedents…. Steph Wood nowadays and Sharelle McMahon in the recent past….

To me, she actually has a bit of Vicki Wilson about her.

 The amount of stepping not being called makes a lot of passages of play cringeworthy to watch

Housby and Wallace to coach the swifts today as no Bec Bulley who is feeling unwell… if any team are going to thrive in this environment I feel it’s the swifts.

If this tournament is anything to go by I think it’s safe to say we are still going to have a very disrupted season

Giants on top early here with a few Swift errors. It’s 7-3. And Maddy Proud meets the floor for the first time today after less than 5 minutes.

                        1/4 time: Giants 13-7

After a poor start, Swifts worked their way back into it, but it’s still a handy lead that Giants have as we go to the first break.

Helen and Sam vs Julie Fitz… there’s just a slight discrepancy there in terms of coaching experience.

Giants have pushed out to a strong lead of 19-9 as we approach super shot time in the second quarter.

                            1/2 time: Giants 24-13

Giants opening up a commanding lead at the half time break. Jo Harten continuing on from yesterday, Amy Parmenter playing well and Lauren Moore doing some great work against her former team.

Paige Hadley now coming on for Swifts.

so not only can they not work out how to stream on facebook, but now they deny access to be able to look at the scoring/stats on the website – pretty poor really from the ‘best netball competition in the world’ :negative: :negative:

                                3/4 time: Giants 31-18

All getting a bit scrappy in that quarter! Giants giving up some opportunities but Swifts failing to convert them. Parmy having a terrific game for Giants.

                                  Full time: Giants 41-27

A convincing win for Giants over a very depleted Swifts team who never gave up. Giants were on top all over the court. In particular, Harten shot 24/25 and the back 3 of McDonell, Moore & Parmenter had 14 gains between them.
