        1/2 time: Firebirds 28-23

        A terrific quarter from Firebirds as they piled on 16 goals to 9. The Stower/Bueta combo is working well today. Only concern would be Kim Jenner really racking up the penalties! She’s up to 15, just one less than the whole Magpies team.

          3/4 time: Magpies 39-37

          Collingwood turned it all around with a 16-9 win of their own. As is often the case with Firebirds, it’s penalties and turnovers causing the trouble. Kim Jenner now has 21 penalties. That’s a big number in 60mins but she’s got there in 26!

            Full time: Firebirds 52-50

            Great game. Highest scoring game of the tournament so far. Firebirds take the win but it ebbed and flowed so much, it was just a case of who happened to be on top when the final whistle went. Bueta had an absolute stormer of a game!

              1/4 time: Tbirds 17-7

              Thunderbirds totally dominating this 3rd place playoff so far. Lightning just can’t get anything going at all. Nissan Net Points is 114 to -5. That tells you all you need to know. Potgieter already on 13 goals at 1/4 time.

                  The lead got out to as much as 15 before a couple of late super shots put some respectability back into the score for Lightning. But Tbirds have been well on top throughout the court with only 4 turnovers so far to Lightning’s 10!

                    This male commentator needs to go. If he can’t bother to take note of who the players are and what they look like then he needs to go. Wilson/Sterling look nothing alike and it’s disrespectful how many times he’s called them the wrong names.

                    Edit: so glad Browne called him out on it!!

                        Just the finishing touches to be put on this dominating performance with one quarter to go. Tbirds have managed to put 11 players out on court without missing a beat. Can Lightning salvage some lost pride in the last 10mins?

                          Tbirds finished off strongly to win the final quarter and finish with the highest score of the tournament. Latanya Wilson had a field day with 8 gains including 6 intercepts! For Lightning, this is one they’d like to put behind them.

                            Brownie’s calling the male commentator’s mistake was so well done.

                            Who is the Lightning GD with Hinchliffe’s dress on?

                            And can someone explain what the Total Turnover stat is. They have Obstructions (neg), intercepts (pos) and turnovers (neg) and Total Turnovers…. Thanks.
