So excited for Pitman’s return, hope it goes well because they need a WA.

I can’t find the stats either. I’m only guessing from Insta stories, that Pitman may have came on at half time?
England were down by 3 (I think) at half time. So I’m hoping she made the difference.

                            Sorry, here’s a summary.

                            This was England’s starting 7…

                              England started strongly, up 16-11 at 1/4 time (Cardwell 14/14, Drakeford-Lewis 2/4 – Cholhok 7/8, Nassanga 4/4)

                              Then, they fell in a bit of a hole and Uganda dominated the 2nd Q 17-9 (Cardwell 6/8, Drakeford-Lewis 3/4 – Cholhok 9/9, Nassanga 8/8)

At half time, it was Uganda 28-25

At half time, Jess Thirlby made some changes.

With the new players on, England dominated the 3rd Q 17-9 (Tchine 6/8, Cardwell 11/11 – Cholhok 8/8, Nassanga 1/1)

A couple more changes during the last Q with Zara Everitt and Ellie Rattu coming on, so at one stage there were 5 London Pulse players on court. It also meant that all 12 players got a run. England won the 4th Q 18-14 (Tchine 10/11, Cardwell 7/8, Drakeford-Lewis 1/1 – Cholhok 10/10, Nassanga 4/5)

Cardwell was terrific, at GS or GA. Pitman was great in the second half after she came on and definitely made a difference. So did Fadoju. She was good at GK, but great at GD when she went there. She is a star and they really missed out not having her in the Comm Games team.

Uganda played very well considering they only had 9 players available and this was their 5th test in about a week. If they had their Comm Games 12 here, I think they’d have just about won. Peace was quite good at GK, but it’s far from ideal that they have to choose between her and Cholhok for GS.

                                  Final score England 60-51.
