Mvula didn’t get on at all, I wonder if that signing was a mistake. Walmsley was solid and I hope they persist with her like they did with Dunn a few years ago.

          Walmsley also got MVP

Will have to watch the replay of that one.

What a great game to watch. Well done Magic bringing an 8 goal deficit back to just 1. So exciting at the end.

Love the sharing of the score volume between Mes and Ekenasio (25 and 27 respectively)

I think it works better with Mes at GA and Ekenasio at the back.

                    What a game!
Ekenasio completely nullified Jury in that last half.
Edgecombe proving she has a lot of worth at WA and I think her and Wilbore will be able to share that role nicely.
Walmsley was outstanding! A bit quiet in the second half but more than held her own and very impressive in moments of chaos

Exciting game. Not much between the two teams.
Although seems a bit pointless getting Mvula all the way out from the UK to just sit her on the bench the whole game. Might just as well have got an up and coming NZ player into the squad if they just needed a back up shooter and given that player some practice time at the top level. They were even promoting Mvula in the pre game broadcast so I would have been interested to see what she could do.

Even though Walmsley held her own against Mikaere I thought she needed to leap more on some of the takes from her feeders. Pulse turned over the ball quite a bit feeding it in to her. That last minute throw down, around the head area by Mikaere looked mighty dirty and unnecessary to me. Would have been a sending off in basketball if you did that.

Iaone looked a good sign up at WD.

I’ve got my money on Tactix this year especially with Dunn moving down there. I think Dunn is going to be a lot more consistent than Bird in the circle. If Watson and Burger can contain Nweke and co they should be in with a good chance.

A lot to like from the Burger/Watson combination early.

That toss up was interesting, the umpire called it a ‘simultaneous break’ to both the GA and GD.
