Loving this form and confidence from Wilson!
Full time: Stars 74-40
Poor Steel. These performances are embarrassing. Would George Fisher really have made anywhere near this much difference?
Winders and K Heffernan not showing their pedigree so far for the steel. Burger and watson will have a field day at this rate next week
I feel George Fisher would have made a huge difference for Steel. Would they have won these games? I’m not too sure, but I feel they’d be a lot more competitive.
They have a good team, but missing a strong GS!
They’re also missing the experience of Shannon Saunders and the mid court leadership that comes with 11 years of playing with this team.
🌀 ANZ PREMIERSHIP ROUND 2 🌀
The Northern Stars have recorded their highest ever score in the ANZ Premiership, and biggest win, with 34-goal thumping of Southern Steel.

Bizarre how Wills left Wilson on for the full 60 minutes when the game was out of question at half time. In some other sports the coach would have given the bench a run. What did that prove leaving Wilson on. Were they going for a record breaking scoreline?
It’s a shame that steel and magic don’t appear to be very competitive. I’m probably not going to watch the steel and magic games (except maybe when they play each other) as the outcomes against the stronger teams are going to be pretty predictable. Does anyone know whether sky tv nz are broadcasting the SSN? I think that might have more interesting, closer games.
I thought the same thing. Would’ve been good to see Maelesala and Hume combine.
Mila RB was great tonight. Her feeds were excellentKiwikiwi, spark are showing the SSN, but only until June 30th.
Kwikwi. I think Magic and Steel are playing each other this coming Monday afternoon.
Oh no, it’s Tactix not Magic. Have to say I agree with you about whether I’ll watch all the games, especially given SSN is starting again this weekend too.
Maybe people were just really underselling Stars. Maybe they’re just way better than most of us thought this year.
Not sure why people thought the Stars be easy beats. They only lost Anna Harrison and Kayla Johnson.
Kayla hardly played full games, or even more than half a game, Maia, Gina, Mila, have been part of the Stars attack for 3 years now, Holly Fowler is more than cabable at Wd/GD.
But in saying that they will need Maia to shoot 90+ all ANZ, and not fall into a massive hole like in 2021.I always thought Stars were going to do just fine without Johnson and Harrison, as long as the Fowler/Temu combo was tried with Nathan at WD. I’m glad Kiri has seen this as an option and is using it more. I don’t think the Temu/Nawai combo would be as strong.
Just looking at the pulse’s highlight on their Instagram. How many losses of procession for the Steel happened off a pass involving Winders?? It looked like a considerable number, but does anyone have stats?
