Okay, with Fantasy netball, once again this year, there are two different competitions. It’s important you read this because they are quite different. You can go in either comp or both. Also, there are a couple of rule changes for this year. So make sure to read carefully.
.
NS FANTASY NETBALL – REGULAR COMP
This is the competition that most are used to. You can make changes to your team every week. The players’ prices change and you can buy and sell them as you wish. It’s a game of strategy as much as anything. You need to be ready to make changes regularly to stand any chance of winning. You don’t get as much money to spend on your team as you do with the season comp, but if you select and trade wisely, you can end up with a very powerful team by the end of the competition.

NS FANTASY NETBALL – SEASON COMP
This is for the people who simply don’t have the time to keep making all the trades needed to win the regular comp. You get more money to spend on your team and try to pick the best team you can right from the start, because once the season starts, you can only make changes to your squad if someone suffers a season-ending injury. That’s right. You’re locked in to your original choices. You can move players from starting 7 to bench and vice versa if you want to, but you can’t buy or sell players as you can in the regular comp. It’s all about making good choices with your initial squad.

So there you have it. Send me your teams either by PM on here, or much more simply by emailing SSNFantasyNetball@gmail.com
So, this year, it’s a captain and vice-captain, not two co-captains. And also there’s been a salary cap rise of $50,000 for each comp to $800k for the Regular Comp & $900k for the Season Comp.

And here is the new scoring system for this year.
Yes, you can.
On the injury front, sadly Tara Hinchliffe has ruptured her ACL and is out for the season. She will be taken out of the game and replaced by whichever player takes her spot in the team.
At the Giants, Maddie Hay is out for at least round 1 and possibly longer, while Jo Harten will be given until late next week to prove her fitness.
Kelly Singleton has officially been selected as injury replacement for Nyah Allen at Magpies. Still not an official announcement regarding Romelda at Swifts yet.
Unfortunately, Rahni Samason is out for a period of time. Replacement is still undecided at this point.
For Giants, Jo Harten is out of round one at least, along with Maddie Hay.
Now Jo Weston is out!!!
Injury Update 📣
Jo Weston will miss our Round 1 match against West Coast Fever on Saturday night as she continues her recovery from injury. Squad members Ruby Barkmeyer and Gabby Coffey will join the squad of 10 in Jo and Rahni's absence.

If Thunderbirds don’t have a good year, my teams are in deep trouble!
If you have Jodi-Ann Ward, you’re in for a good score. She’s already on 125 and it’s only half-time!
For those new to Fantasy Netball, each night after the games, I post player scores here. These are not official. They may possibly change when I post the final official scores normally on Monday or Tuesday. But they are certainly a good indication of the score that players are likely to get. Jodi-ann Ward is off to a flyer!
