Stars really dominated that quarter. Looking on target for an upset.
3/4 time: Stars 47-41
Stars hang on for an upset win. Jo Tripp gets a win and POTM on her first match as player-coach.
Full time: Stars 59 v Mavericks 55
Pulse v Rhinos…
Elle McDonald is captaining Rhinos in her first-ever game in the Super League which she’s playing after her test debut!
Rhinos lead Pulse 15-12 at 1/4 time
Pulse putting the foot down now!
The second Q was 22-10 to Pulse and they now lead 34-25 at halftime.
Pulse ran away with it in the end.
Full time: Pulse 64 v Rhinos 48
In the last game of the day, Thunder leads Dragons 36-19 at half time.
Full time: Thunder 68 v Dragons 42
It was assumed that Bath would time to find their feet but this was a horror show. They have gone from being top 4 to contenders to a team which will probably struggle to win a match. Not only have they lost much of their quality but have an untried head coach. It could be a very long season for them.
Were any of these games accessible for people in Australia?
No, but I used a VPN to watch on YouTube.
Yes, you need a VPN.
Been going on for a couple of years now, but I really don’t understand why a broadcaster in one country won’t let people in another country watch their product when it has no effect on their TV rights in the UK. All it does is make people angry and stop them from seeing how good the game is in the UK right now. Seems like a PR disaster to me.
A huge win from Storm over Stars to complete Round 1…
2 from 2 ✅@SurreyStorm record a huge 76 – 51 victory over visitors @SevernStars in their second fixture of the weekend 💪#GetSomeNet | #NSL2023 pic.twitter.com/kIoEg0Ez8x
