Halfway through the 2nd Q and it’s goal for goal with Pulse maintaining that 4 goal lead 25-21.

        1/2 time: Pulse 31-29

This is a great game worthy of a final. Lightning working well to get back into it after a slow start and they won that Q by 2. Panagarry is everywhere.

        Pulse 31/35 @ 86%
        Lightning 29/32 @ 91%

Fadoju watch: 5 gains & 10 deflections to 1/2 time.

Beth Cobden is on for Lightning in place of Jas Odeogberin. Fran Williams is on fire and Lightning takes the lead!

            3/4 time: Lightning 43-39

Lightning won that Q 14-8 as their defence got right on top. Fran Williams has 7 possession gains. If not for a crucial play from Fadoju towards the end of the Q, Lightning could have been going in 7 ahead. Pulse is still right in this.

Alicia Scholes is on for Pulse in place of Pitman. Lightning leads by 6.

                  Full time: Lightning 57-48

Congratulations to Victoria Burgess, Nat Panagarry, and the team. Unsurprisingly, Fran Williams is POTM. She had 10 gains. When the match was in the balance, she was the one that came up with the ball to turn the match in Lightning’s favour.

Fran Williams was so good – am not convinced she did enough to get ahead of Funmi as starting GD (or Layla) but what a strong interchange to have.

Well played Loughborough: Vicki Burgess had done her homework. Nat Panagarry was immense, and how fab was it to see Cobden back on court doing her stuff. Hope she recovers well and continues on an upward trajectory!
