It felt like they were running around like headless chooks for a period there. Couple of footwork calls then led then the Ferns getting the momentum back and then add in the intercepts by Heffernan and I think Burger that basically sealed it.

Commentators full of praise for England hahahaha shhhh Jenny

The combo of WA Austin, GA Dwyer, GS Koenen not really clicking in the last Q. Austin had 5 turnovers in that Q alone.

Surprisingly after that awful last Q, they gave Austin player of the match!!!

I think Austin played well in WA and fed great to Dwyer but she couldn’t click with Koenen in GS.

Ferns vs Roses – Interesting that Nweke has played 90% of the games. Without her the Ferns games would be much closer. No one is going to win a one on one jumping contest with Nweke except for Sterling. England had their chances. Far too many turnovers at crucial times. Metcalf seemed to be the weak link. Turned over the ball quite a bit. Cardwell not mobile enough. Housby had to do too much work running around.

I can see their young GD from the England side playing in the SSN.

Crowds looked very poor. In Oz, Nz or UK these games would be sold out. Such a shame. How come NZ never gets to host these tournaments?

Looking forward to the final. Should be close especially as Nweke seems to have the measure of Bruce and Klau.

Englands changes in the last quarter helped NZ pull away.
I really don’t get why Crampton is getting these starts and playing a full game 🤷‍♂️ I hope Toeava gets the start against Aus, and given the opportunity to run out a full game.

I wonder if DNT will be having words to both Ekenasio and TPSR, as they both seemed to do the pop pass to Nweke instead of going to the post. It was one of the main reasons why Tiana Metauru (sp?) didn’t make the side.

Looking forward to the GF match!
