3/4 time. Magpies 57-48.
Swifts attempted to make a run at Collingwood in that Q, but Garbin landed 4 super shots to take her tally to 6 from 6 so far!
Swifts throwing the bibs in the air every time there is a time out.
I’m always confused by Akle’s decisions with Proud and Hadley every year, you never see either them in the same position for a whole match (or even the entire season), they are always switching between C and WA.
Magpies win it 71-63!!!
Good game. A great first up performance from Collingwood to get them off the mark for the season, highlighted by that defensive performance of Jodi-Ann Ward, and unsurprisingly, she is the player of the match.
Nelson 53/53….was anxious she was going to miss that last goal after the final siren ….amazing feeding to her over Diamonds defenders for a lot of the game.
Ward incredible and MVP….
Jamaica – Fowler and Nelson up the front and Sterling, Wilson and Ward in defence.

Both sides with 17 attempts, but it’s Fever that takes a 17-12 lead into quarter time. Kiera Austin unfortunately sitting on 4/9.
1/2 time: Fever 32-28
Vixens won the second quarter by 1 and now trail by 4 going into halftime. This is a high quality game. Fever on top, but Vixens are keeping the turnovers very low which is keeping them right in this.
There have been a few dodgy calls after contests! A physical battle both ways, Fowler is playing better against Lewis than she did against Mannix. Glasgow needs to SHOOT and Fever in general are not changing direction. Watson of course better in WA than C, tearing it up.
Why doesn’t Watson have 2 GPTs next to her name on MC data?
3/4 time: Fever 48-46
Anyone’s game. Fever just has it at the moment, but Vixens fighting hard. They won that quarter by 2. Very few errors from both sides. This is such a high quality game for round 1.
Fever so hesitant to pass- there have been some horrific feeds to Fowler, but it is round 1.
Emily Mannix is off after receiving a head knock. Fever leads by 4
