I reckon one of her feet was just over the line on landing. Which begs the question, if you land with two feet down and one foot in the one, the other in the two, can you make the one in the two your grounded foot, and move your other foot back? Or do both feet have to be in the two on landing?
Some interesting umpiring this game. Tbirds again not performing at John Cain Arena which does not bode well for them.
3/4 time: Magpies 43-35
15 minutes from a big upset. Magpies looking by far the more settled and composed team of the two at the moment, totally belying the two teams’ positions on the ladder. Quietest game of the year so far from Sterling.
I’ve seen that question regarding where your feet land before, but I’m afraid I’ve forgotten the answer!
Magpies are soaking up time here. They lead by 4 with 90 seconds left.
If Fever, Vixens, and Swifts win this week, which is entirely plausible as none of them are playing eachother, Thunderbird could be staring down a drop from 1st to 4th place.
Full time: Magpies 53-50
What an emotional end! The Magpies players are in tears. It’s tears of joy and relief and satisfaction. They’ve done it. What a well deserved win. Now they’re applauding the faithful fans that turned up to watch.
Netballcrazy1, that’s not right. They can only drop to 2nd.
Round 1:) Magpies looked like a team to challenge the top 4 & making Finals:)
Round 2:) 9 up against Vixens going into 4th qtr: again playing well
THEN the incident with the Double Pass Centre mins out from full time out completely destroyed them!!! They lost faith as did I with the Whole SSN competition!!!
They never recovered
Halfway through the first Q, a few turnovers against each team and fever leads 9-7. One thing to look out for… in the past three games against Lightning, Jhaniele Fowler has averaged 65 goals!
I’m 99% sure that both feet have to land in the two- if one foot is outside the circle or in the one-point zone, you can’t pivot it in or step back/forward.
1/4 time: Fever 20-13
A Koenen goal right on 1/4 time didn’t count and Lightning could have done with that as they trail by 7. Fowler already with 19 goals after the first Q and that’s despite Ash Ervin doing some good things for Lightning.
5000 SSN goals for Jhaniele Fowler as Fever stretches the lead but now a couple of turnovers against them. Fever 43-36
3/4 time: Fever 55-48
Good game. Fever just doing enough at this stage. Lightning had the better of that Q and reduced the lead to 4, but once again, three late super shots from Glasgow stretched the margin. Steph Wood going to WA now.
A poor start to the last Q from Lightning, but they’ve recovered somewhat. They’re just within range, but everything will have to go right. Fever 66-59 with 4 minutes left.
