Has Belinda Reynolds gone a bit off Miller? She was getting heaps of court time at the beginning of the season but now not at all
Dan Ryan’s called a timeout with just 90 seconds left. Fever should have this, but after recent matches, you can’t blame him! Fever 68-63
Some ridiculous play from Fowler- Fever had a decent margin and she was so reluctant to shoot the ones, constantly searching for Glasgow and ending up in turnovers. I get wanting to waste the clock but at that point there was no need to.
Full time: Fever 69-65
More relief than excitement for Fever on full time, just glad to get away with the win after recent close losses. Lightning gave them all they could handle, but Fever dug deep and got the win.
Regarding Miller’s lack of court time, I say it every year… especially with teams outside the finals race, the coaches often give you a good hint who they want in their team for next year. Maybe she’s not in their plans? Unless she’s carrying a niggle of some sort. She started the season really well, but went off the boil and now not getting on court!
The goals for being low isn’t a problem. In fact, being a defensive low scoring team is actually an advantage when it comes to %. The only team that can end up on the same points as them is Swifts, and Tbirds have a better % than Swifts at the moment.
For a side that’s been playing together for a decent period of time – the Fever do not know how to close out games.
Also, nice to see Ervin and Black rewarded for strong performances. Not enough room next year for Ervin, Dehaney, Hinchcliffe and Pretorius.
So great to see Magpies get a win, they really deserve it. Shimona Nelson has come such a long way from when she started in SSN. She’s received so much criticism but I truly think she is one of the best GSs in the world, some of her takes were extraordinary. Great percentage as always as well.
The T’Birds are still so inconsistent but that’s to be expected considering their lack of experience being the hunted. It will be interesting to see how they mentally deal with finals, especially if they’re the favourites.
I think it’s been quite obvious that the Lightning don’t have space for both Scherian and Miller. They are really WAs and it just makes it too tough for the defensive end when one of them is in C. I always thought they would keep Miller and Scherian would retire, but if Scherian plays on it’s not looking great for her given the lack of court time. It would be interesting to see where Miller would go, there are a lot of good WAs in Australia. I personally think she’s a bit more developed than Sligar (and would fit in better at Giants considering they have no backup WA), but it would be interesting to see if they would take her back.
You mean a return to Giants then?

1/4 time: Swifts 25-19
Not sure how you stop Swifts at this point. Giants did a lot of things right in the first Q but still trail by 6. Once again, it’s the Hadley-Housby show. This duo are dominating the game. Hadley 10 assists already!
Maddy Proud had a bit of a knock and she’s now gone off and been replaced by Lili Gorman-Brown. Swifts lead 33-26
