I know she’s said that she intends coming back but I wouldn’t be surprised if she retires. Who knows. Maybe she might even take a back seat and Letherbarrow could take over as number one GS.

        3/4 time: Fever 58-48

Fever has won every Q so far and stretched their lead to 10, thus keeping up their record of having led at 3/4 time in every match this year. Courtney Bruce & Sunday Aryang have 10 gains and 12 deflections between them.

Just over 11,000 people at RAC Arena for this game, to go with just under 11,000 last game. They’re loving their netball in the west. And Fever rewarding the fans with a strong performance here, up by 12 with 5 minutes left.

            Full time: Fever 72-61

Fever wins the 4th Q for just the 5th time this season, to run out easy winners and move to 2nd. Giants fell down in the attack end. No surprise Courtney Bruce is POTM.

So far this round the I have a lot more confidence in the Diamonds team with some players really showing they deserve their spot. I thought Koenen looked shaky to begin with against Stirling, but really got the better of her and Wood did well against both Garrett and Wilson. Then today, Bruce, Aryang and Parmenter all played great matches. Very interested to hear the team annoucement.

A poor start from Firebirds. Sarah Klau well on top of Donnell Wallam so far. And Housby just continuing on her strong form. Swifts 12-7 after 10 minutes

Is anyone else here noticing the pointing that Rav does constantly?

                      1/4 time: 17-17

A good fightback from Donnell Wallam to end the quarter. But the shooting stats are big difference here. Swifts 16/16 including 1/1 super shots. Firebirds 14/21 with 3/6 super shots. Helen Housby 8/8 and 7 assists, no turnovers.

I think Letherbarrow is ready to be a starter for the Giants but wouldn’t be surprised if they bring in an import if Harten does step back. They’ll have a lot of money in their cap to throw at an international like Cholhok, or dare I say Nweke.

Helen Housby is in career-best form, just makes so few mistakes and does so much right. Surely a candidate for best netball player in the world right now.

                          1/2 time: Swifts 38-33

Firebirds are taking it up to Swifts, but Swifts are just relentless. And so is Housby. 14/17 including 4 super shots, 11 assists, no turnovers and she’s effectively taken Ruby Bakewell-Doran out of the game. RBD is sitting on -1.5 NNP.

Talking about being relentless, Swifts start the third Q with an 8-2 run to open up an 11 goal lead. Hard to see how Firebirds come back from this.

Aryang had a great game. Not sure what Parmenter’s contact stats were but she needs to pull it back.
Price and Simmonds were having a ding dong battle out there.

If Giants went down the route of another star international to replace Harten (if she retires), surely Letherbarrow would look at another club. I hope she gets a chance at Giants, she could be amazing with more solid court time

Umpire to the left very picky on the defenders but misses Romelda’s stepping
