1/2 time: 25-25
An exciting game. We’re all square and after being quiet for the first quarter, all of a sudden Sterling and Wilson have got right into the game. Swifts were doing well, playing the possession game, but they’ve gone away from that slightly.
Oh look Dwan came on and it’s back even at half time.
Dwan and Garrett really should be starting 7. Both very impressive since coming on. Cardwell so much better at GS. Sit her back there and take the ball to her.
I like Austin. She has a very bright future. Will bring great impact when needed but right now Dwan should start ahead of her. Seeing what they do with Petty will be interesting. Yes she is captain but they are so much stronger with Garrett on. It’s been great to see how far Garrett has come since moving over from Collingwood.
I would be starting Garrett and Dwan. Petty I’d have off and Wilson at WD. I do find it interesting that Nankivell has fallen so far out of favour.
And now the power is out?!
If I was the Swifts I’d bring on Fawns. Romelda is being rattled by Stirling, better to get their heads turning.
What is it with power outages this weekend at stadiums?
Okay, this is crazy. First, there were the problems with the court, now we have a power outage at the stadium.
And even crazier, anyone who follows AFL will know that exactly the same thing happened in one of their games last night! What a weird coincidence.
Gosh I hope Foxtel don’t put the scheduled golf on at 9.15pm
Match is called off. Goodness me.
Game has been stopped as it can’t be finished within 120 minutes. Each team gets 2 points, is that because it’s a draw at half time?
Off to the golf….pfffft.
I think the Tbirds should play at Adelaide entertainment centre from now on, this match was a sell out so feels like they would be able to fill the entertainment centre rather well, maybe not completely fill it but it’s worth a try I think. Netball SA stadium has had issues for years, mainly due to the decals and several injuries that have occurred on this court.
This is a farce.
Two points each. You wouldn’t want to be one of these teams to miss finals by two points when they didn’t get the chance to complete this match….
The game has been abandoned and declared a draw!
With the delay due to the floor problems, an extension of time was granted but now the power failure means that time has run out for a completion and the match is declared a draw. Both teams will get 2 points!!!
I know they sold out this match but I don’t think they could fill the entertainment centre often enough for it to be worth the cost of playing there. Adelaide in general could really use a mid-size permanent indoor court stadium.
I was at the game and was sooo annoyed because Tbirds were just getting back into it. They would have smashed it if the second half was played.
They need to start with this lineup instead of changing to it in Q2 like they’ve done for this game and last. Why put themselves in deficit then have to claw it back
Completely agree Sarah.
Obst said “lots of discussions amongst the coaching team during the week”…….I wonder why given the turn around in the second half of last week’s game …it’s a no-brainer. The turnaround in the second half of the second quarter of today’s game confirmed it.
Obst really needs to start and stay with Cardwell, Dwan, Horjus, Williams, Wilson, Garrett and Sterling.
