I remember when I first saw Tayla Williams during the lockdown hub I thought she was quite overrated. She threw away a lot of ball back then. But she’s an absolute star. She reminds me of Maddy Gordon but is far more stable. Dogged on defence and always an option on attack. She’ll surely get a Diamonds opportunity in the next cycle, especially if the T’Birds keep building on their success.

I’d like to see Letherbarrow given more chances. She was outplayed by Dehaney in R1 and Harten was great last round, but she was a bit subpar against the Vixens. Obviously a tough ask to put Letherbarrow on in a tight game, but she’s dominated against the Vixens before. Hopefully she gets a few more opportunities, she’s the future of the Giants and maybe even the Diamonds. We only need to look at the likes of Miller, Williams, Bakewell-Doran etc. to see how quickly these young players can develop when given opportunity.

Giants have finally gotten a WA/C training partner. Taylah Davies makes her netball return… not exactly young talent but at least it’s logical recruiting.
