It wasn’t that long ago Garbin essentially won us the game against NZ in Melbourne. But she’s so out of form and Wallam is so in form and I just don’t know if you can ignore that.

Now she’s in GS for the last 5 min, let’s see how she goes.

Again Garbin should shoot the 2pointer but passes and loses the ball. Back yourself

Singleton and Garbin on to sink super shots. But it’s all a bit messy. Firebirds playing the possession game and just looking for one-pointers. Firebirds 71-65 with 2 mins left.

Hullita Veve got a call against her she didn’t really like, but she just went and won the ball back. Seriously crazy she doesn’t have a full time contract.

            Firebirds win 73-67!

Good game. Firebirds just a touch too good and they held on for a well deserved win in the 3rd Pride Match. 🏳️‍🌈

Emily Moore was great and was adjudged POTM, but how about Donnell Wallam… 65/68.

Great numbers for Donnell! I also thought RBD was amazing tonight and a lot of players had great individual games that didn’t necessarily translate into team performance.

Magpies are such an anomaly. For so many seasons they seem to consistently have so much talent all over the court but just can’t seem to fire all together at the same time. It must be so frustrating because I think the expectations on themselves would be so high.

Emily Moore has been such a find. I didn’t know anything about her before the Firebirds but she has really blossomed. Yet another strong NSW shooter.

Veve was excellent today, she should get the start next week. Surely she’ll get a contract next year at either Firebirds or Lightning. I wonder if Simpson might be looking for a change or retirement, her minutes are going down and Rav has been great in WD.

Magpies have completely collapsed after that Vixens loss. Not the same team that dismantled the Swifts. I’m a big Garbin fan but it’s not good for her game to be playing like this, surely she needs to be on the move again. Such poor timing that she left just before an opportunity opened up at the Swifts.

Didn’t Wallam play two games late last year against NZ and her spekky layup won the game in Newcastle.

I had thought Veve would have been in line for that Lightning WD spot that Eagland ended up with. But maybe not.

Harten pushing the ball into Garrett – I didn’t think you were allowed to do that?

3 1/2 minutes left in the opening Q and Tbirds up 15-11. Julie Fitzgerald wants a timeout.

Moore is doing a good job of disrupting the Tbirds attack- although to be fair the Tbirds attack are disrupting themselves with their lack of leads.

                                1/4 time: Tbirds 18-13

Tbirds looking the more composed team so far. It all got a bit messy towards the end with Giants looking for super shots and only nailing 1/4. Georgie Horjus having a great game for Tbirds.

Wow, JLP goes flying over the advertising board. Spectacular. She’s okay, but it’s another turnover. Tbirds threatening to run away with this.
