      1/2 time: NZ 27-24

      Walmsley 19/23 (83%)
      Ekenasio 8/11 (73%)

      Glasgow 13/15 (87%)
      Neil 11/15 (73%)

A better second quarter from NZ with help from some England turnovers. Karaka has 3 gains so far for the Ferns.

Leota future SF coach? Haha, give it 5-10 years?

Funny listening to Stanley, every game she commentates she constantly states the ball can go in earlier or that it is on and they’re missing it. It was nice to have Anna Harrison sit beside her the other day and say (paraphrasing) “well you can say that, but obviously on court the defenders are doing something to make it seem that the space is not available”

            Full time: NZ 59-52.

The Silver Ferns take the series 2-1. Just a bit too good today but a very creditable showing from the Roses once again.

A well deserved POTM for Amelia Walmsley in just her second test, while Berri Neil was tremendous for England in her third!

The Glasgow/Neil circle is giving me next gen H2 (Harten-Housby combo) vibes – v evenly split shooting load, not afraid of the long bombs, v fancy footwork/athleticism on the baseline for rogue passes/rebounds, great switches in popping out of the circle when needed to free up space.

My posts don’t seem to be loading so sorry if this eventually gets posted twice

Now the series is over I wanted to follow on from this https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/netball/300977651/dame-noeline-taurua-calls-for-changes-to-netball-setup-after-silver-ferns-losses which is close to what Ian posted on page 9 of this thread, after the game 1 loss.
Yesterday Ekenasio was on TV saying that SF players wanted to be allowed to play in SSN. Also interviewed was, I think, Stephen Hotter who is head of high performance sport in NZ. It was also reported in one of the newspapers that a team in Australia had had more than one NZ player approach them re playing SSN. I can’t help feeling that after the 2024 season some of these players are just going to go.

                        Walmsley is phenomenal for 19!

Will be very interesting to see who England would choose at their top 4 shooters. Housby and Cardwell are locks. Tchine offers something totally different. Than Neal or Glasgow. Neal has x factor.

Why are Neal and Taljaard in the same NSL team?!? I fear Taljaard may be bench sitting a lot.

When is the last time England won a major series or tournament?

I’m pretty sure England won the last Taini Jamison series?

I actually forgot, that Glasgow and Jury went head-to-head in the 2017 WYC final.

England won the TJT in 2021.
