So excited for tomorrow’s game! Can’t wait to see what’s the starting seven for the Roses and the Ferns? I’d think that the Roses would go for something like this:
GS: Glasgow
GA: Drakeford-Lewis
WA: Joseph (I’d prefer McDonald though)
C: Carter
WD: Rattu
GD: Oyesola
GK: AdioAs for the Ferns, I wonder if they’ll stick with the same starting seven used for the World Cup or will they try to blood in Whamsely immediately? Exciting times for Netball:)

Well as a Ferns since a long time ago, I’m actually not very interested. Might watch as got nothing else to do today. But if I see any passing back out of the circle, and not prepared to long shot, I’m switching channels
I’m with you on that McLeod. Currently on the road back to Auckland and am appalled to hear the Coast radio presenter announce that the Ferns are hosting the England Roses in the Cadbury Series this afternoon. Shows how little attention is being paid to it.
I’m fairly certain it’s both the Cadbury series and Taino Jamison this year
Yeah, it’s the Taini Jamison Trophy, but it’s also called the Cadbury Netball Series this year.
Does anyone know who’s captain for England? I can’t find it on their socials.
Halimat Adio and Sophie Drakeford-Lewis are co-captains from what I’ve read. Happy to be corrected 🙂
Thanks Maryann!
Not a great start for Sasha shooting-wise, her shots are all spinning around the rim and then falling out. She already has a nice connection with SDL though, this is going to be very effective for England going forward.
Happy for Sasha,
Starting to get her groove. Holding space well in the circle, she’s turning and shooting. SDR is doing well too, surprised she missed the World Cup team.1/4 time: NZ 13-12
Wilson 4/6 (67%)
Ekenasio 9/9 (100%)Glasgow 5/8 (63%)
Drakeford-Lewis 7/8 (88%)A bit of a scrappy opening quarter, but the Roses right in this. It was a shaky start for both GSs. Ekenasio has taken control of the Ferns circle.
Yes, that’s right. Drakeford-Lewis and Adio co-captains.
