The Roses have hit the front. After a nervous start, Sasha Glasgow is now dominating the circle.

          1/2 time: ENG 29-23

          Wilson 9/11 (82%)
          Ekenasio 14/15 (93%)

          Glasgow 19/22 (86%)
          Drakeford-Lewis 10/13 (73%)

What a Q that was. So many turnovers against the Ferns. Roses piled on the pressure, looking anything but a B side. Glasgow 14/14 in that Q.

Go the B Team! If they hold on and win, – talk about redemption! Can’t be nice being an England player reading that kind of coverage from the NZ media. Loving this start from the Roses

Metuarau on for NZ, Ekenasio moves to GS. NZ have used 10 players now. England still sticking with their starting 7. And why not? It’s working a treat!

This is beyond embarrassing from the Ferns, big crowd. Surely Noels is gone after this, the players look so unhappy, every little bit of enjoyment is coached out of them. Souness is not the answer at WA never will be.

Good call Mcleod- off goes Souness.

As an Aussie I’m so glad Glasgow is flourishing in a national side! She’s standing up against the physical pressure so well and she’s really showing off her rebounding ability too.

SDL goes off after a brilliant performance.

Like it’s been said, the Ferns just look so depleted and sad out there. The Roses look so enthusiastic out there and are having so much fun, but I suppose it’s easier to do that when not many people expected you to be winning.

And straight away Mila R-B has made a difference. Times like this I wish Alyiah Dunn was a option, but no Noels has her favs and players she dilikes.

                        3/4 time: ENG 43-37

                        Ekenasio 27/29 (93%)
                        Metuarau 1/1 (100%)

                        Glasgow 27/30 (90%)
                        Neil 1/1 (100%)

That Q was 14-14. The lead got out to as much as 9 at one stage. The Roses 15 minutes away from a big upset. Glasgow is 22/22 after a shaky 1st Q.

Roses struggling to finish off- experience is very helpful in these situations.

Ekenasio has been awesome for the Ferns today with some excellent clutch shooting.

Roses are really missing SDL on centre pass second phase. You can tell these are new combos, no clear lead, quite often two attackers running away from player with the ball

The Ferns fighting back in this last Q. Just one goal the difference now with 4 minutes left.

The Roses win it 55-54! What a result!
