Mix up at the end when Tchine was asked to go to the post-match interview, but then she was replaced by Layla Guscoth. It seems like Ama Agbeze (who had to choose the Player of the Series), might have originally chosen Tchine, but then changed her mind and gave it to Guscoth instead!

Interesting to note that when England played Australia late last year, Williams was the preferred GD, leaving Gusgoth on the bench. Similarly Malcolm- played quite a lot in the aus series but barely sighted v Jamaica.
And Harvey and Tchine traveled all the way to Australia and didn’t even put the dress on!
Be interesting to see what happens in quad series.

Tchine was my player of the series. She was phenomenal.

I was wondering if Nelson was there and then there she was on the court.

Jamaica with Sterling and Wilson in defence, with Ward in WD will be amazing to see at Worlds.

Thanks again to Khady and to cookiesnjam.

So you reckon Ama got it right the first time?

@Ian I’d say so – but maybe the EN powers that be wanted someone who’d played all three? Layla as certainly the one to watch but for a youngster, Tchine had a very impressive time!

As for Pitman, I’d say she’s not on the plane to the WC unless she develops a second position: was really impressed with MacDonald and she is the first attacking C we’ve had for a while (Serena, Jade, Imo and even Nat Panagarry were originally WDs). She wasn’t flashy but was in the right place at the right time and put in some lovely feeds – good backup for Nat at WA as well.

Please Lord can Jess keep resting Jo Harten: she’s been injured since the CWG and her knee is obviously still not right. Best to keep her off the court, surely, and get it healthy for the WC? If only George F was available now! Tho SDL and Liv are obviously the pairing for the future: will be interesting to see if JT is brave enough to play them against one of the top 2.

The England Match Report says Tchine was Player of the series, not Guscoth. And if Tchine didn’t play all 3 games then sounds sensible that she wasn’t player of the season. Agree seeing her with SD-L would be amazing. Who will be the goalers for the Worlds. Seems the Roses have 6 choices if they’re all fit and healthy.
