Unfortunately don’t think Jury is having any impact in WD. I guess they’re going for hands over rather than hunting intercepts but even that doesn’t seem to be getting many turnovers. Oh well, may as well try it while they have a comfortable lead!
3/4 time:
New Zealand 58 v Trinidad & Tobago 20
(192cm Kelly Jury is playing WD!)Tonga 40 v Fiji 36
(Tonga gradually getting on top, but Fiji not out of it)Veve… more like Veryvery good. So much hand on ball in this last quarter!
In the other game, Burger was incredible. Disruptive as anything and 6 intercepts!Do they do POTM after each game at WC?

Full time: Tonga 56 v Fiji 51
Fiji was pressing, looking to narrow the gap to just two with 2 minutes left, before Veve and Gerrard combined to come up with an intercept and Tonga has come away with a tough win after a slow start.
Full time: NZ 76 v T&T 27
A comprehensive win for New Zealand with all players getting valuable court time. Their starting line up appeared the most impressive, really dominating that first Q. T&T improved from there on putting up a much better showing in the last 3 Qs
Thanks Wewood, Veve for Tonga/Fiji.
I’m a bit worried about Jane Watson, and wonder if she’s fully recovered from her injury? Kelly Jury ATM was our strongest GK.

1/4 time:
Australia 20 v Zimbabwe 11
(spirited beginning by Zimbabwe before Australia started to get on top)Uganda 22 v Singapore 9
(lots of Singapore errors and Uganda has capitalised)Crowds look a little disappointing.
Were the tickets expensive?Zimbabwe really taking it up to Australia, it’s good to watch (and good for the Diamonds to not just have a total walkover game).
A few classic bullet passes between Koenen and Wood getting some ooohs from the crowd. Bruce in everything, Hadley looking good.
If Zimbabwe could minimise their errors they could become a serious threat in the next cycle. I actually thought the Diamonds would be up by more, but I clearly haven’t given Zimbabwe enough credit. If only they could fix the 50% gain to goal rate.
