This was her first international match.
UK based friends can someone please explain how I can watch these games live/on replay?
I’m originally from Aus and have no idea how all of these streaming platforms work 🫠
Sky sports says they’re playing every game live but I can’t seem to find them anywhere?? Do I need to pay for a subscription for something? Really trying to avoid that considering I knows I used to be able to watch them all free in Australia.
Any help greatly appreciated!!I found it quite confusing too! It seems that Sky Sports is showing all games live on TV (sky subscription needed), but only one game a day will be streamed for free on their YouTube channel as well.
BBC iPlayer will stream all games from Day 4 onwards. Should be both live and replay.
For the other games on Days 1-3 I think you will need to pay for the Netball Pass, or try accessing the Aussie Kayo Freebies via VPN? (Not sure if this works).
You can also access Sky Sports TV channels with a Now TV Sports membership (cheaper, can cancel after this month, may also have free trial packages?) but think you would only be able to watch games live.
Glad it’s just as confusing to others.. Would be much simpler to all be in one place 😅
A vpn was my plan “A” but couldn’t seem to get one working 😞
I think I’ll just watch the free game on YouTube for now and then wait till day 4 onwards as it should all be on BBC iPlayer.. do you know if a subscription is required for that?
It appears free but again it’s a bit vague.Technically/legally speaking you need a UK TV licence, but they shouldn’t have a way to verify you actually have one before you access (you just click a declaration you have one). Free to watch otherwise though.
I’m on YouTube now and it looks like a 3P channel called Gun Gaming is uploading a piggybacked livestream off the Sky channels – I just caught the end of the SA v Wales game that’s not being streamed today by chance. Not sure if it will happen for all games but worth a look until Day 4!
You’re an absolute gem, thanks for your help!
FT: England 90 – 29 Barbados
Fadoju POMFelt like a generally slow game with a lot of scrappy moments from both sides – lots of turnovers, forced (and lost) feeds, and towards the end a lot of missed close range shots and lazy/non-existent rebound offensive rebound attempts. However, to be expected with first game nerves and hard to keep up momentum with that scoreline I’m sure. England were pretty consistent with 20 or more goals each quarter while clearing their bench which was pleasing.
All 12 Roses players got decent court time – Tchine made her WC debut and sealed the big 90th goal on the buzzer, Fran Williams is carrying on her great form from the superleague with some great trademark sneaky intercepts, and Funmi was just doing Funmi things. Nat had a little run around at GA but thankfully did get some rest time too.
England were obviously going to win so the main game excitement was having the Corbin sisters make their debut for Barbados Vs their home team. They had moments of flair, but Sasha often got caught just trying to look for Kadeen and ignoring the free C (then losing the ball in a forced pass to Kadeen), and inexplicably Kadeen as their strongest player got put into GK for most of the second half and ended with a warning. They’re new to the setup though and obviously are very used to playing together as a pair, so will be interesting to see how the team improves with more time over the tournament.
POTM for other games were Joyce Mvula (Malawi), Latanya Wilson (Jamaica) and Ine-Mari Venter (SA).
Is there a web address where we can get stats for each game where there is a breakdown of players please?
