There is also a very important game between Tonga and Zimbabwe. These two countries are both appearing in their second World Cup, have both played 10 World Cup matches to date, and have both scored 484 goals! Incredible! Who will be first to bring up goal number 500?#NWC2023

GK JayasooriyaI don’t know how Malawi continues on after this…
From what I can gather via google translate, they are suggesting Kumwenda refused to come on at one point of their match against England, which was as close until about midway through the second quarter, and that she has let them down. #NWC2023

Umpires really hot on the cautions for obstructions – seems a bit over the top.
Ignoring whether the Malawi team has a right to be annoyed at MJ or not, it’s very unusual and unproductive to be airing that on Facebook in the middle of a tournament. Bizarre.
What a mess..
Obviously should never have been posted, however I do find it bizarre that a player refuses to do what a coach asks?Great commentary by Sue and Maddy.
Very mundane when Sue isn’t commentating as in the first Aussie match. There was a comment on yesterday’s thread that posted a clip of Kumwenda essentially saying she wasn’t given time to warm up and didn’t want to come on cold.
1/4 time:
Australia 23 v Fiji 9
(rough start for JLP – a talking to from the umpire and a falcon to the back of the head)Wales 17 v Sri Lanka 11
(Good competitive start – Sri Lanka staying with Wales early)Hadley is having a FANTASTIC tournament so far. Garbin also has surely silenced all the critics re her selection
There was an 8 minute delay in the Wales v Sri Lanka game as Dulangi Wannithilake copped an accidental hit. She was in pain, and vomited off to the side of the court. Wales leads 30-22 at half time.
Australia leads 58-19 in the third quarter.
