Sri Lanka dominated the first Q, but Singapore was better in the 2nd. Can they come back on the scoreboard?

Unfortunately, during the 3rd quarter, Shu Ning Yew went down holding her knee, and had to be taken off in a wheelchair. Hoping for the best for her. Singapore is fighting back and has levelled at 36-36 at 3/4 time!

That was a great game! I thought it was basically over at half time – Singapore were more penalised, had more turnovers and didn’t look like they would turn it around. But they got a bit more attacking flow and did really well in the second half.

How do the 5-8 placing matches work? Is it SA/Tonga 5th and 6th? Or one 5th and one 7th?

Wow just seen the Singapore v Sri Lanka score. Is that the lowest score in the entire NWC?

Quick skim of Champion Data; there were only 85 goals in T&T vs Singapore (49-36), and the NZ/SA 48-all draw was only just higher than that 95 at 96.

Great things to come for Zimbabwe. I can see the defenders getting a contract somewhere next season.

                            Full time: Zimbabwe 75 v Barbados 48

                            Makunde 57/59 (97%)
                            Muzanenamo 18/20 (90%)

                            K Corbin 29/32 (91%)
                            Blackman 17/19 (90%)
                            Walrond 2/5 (40%)

Zimbabwe finished 8th in Liverpool, so this will be a bit disappointing, but they finished off well, dominating the 2nd half.

@statsnerd21 thanks for that. I’m thinking one game was strong defence and the other poor shooting

Zimbabwe’s captain plays in the NSL. Sorry to say she spent a lot of time in the bench.

I think we’ll see a couple of new roses in SSN.

                                  Malawi v Uganda

Oh no, Thandie Galleta of Malawi has landed very awkwardly and suffered an injury. It didn’t look good but here’s hoping for the best.

It’s an exciting game, dead level 17-17 at this stage early in the second quarter.
