I donāt think it is. I did it about a year ago, and got 15.something (canāt quite remember). Now Iām twice the age of these girls, and I definitely donāt do half as much cardio as I should. A lot of the younger girls in our group were getting anywhere between 16-18. There were some girls who just stopped cause everyone else had finished, so didnāt completely empty the tank.
For me, getting to 15 was hard. It was definitely no jog š For the younger ones it didnāt seem that hard. Thatās why I was shocked the standard was 16.2. But then I also thought to myself, maybe they do it differently?
Iām not too sure where I heard her say it (or if I imagined it š¤¦āāļø). But Iām sure Sharni Layton said they had to hit level 18? Can anyone in the know confirm that?
apparently Takarangi thought she has trialled really well, and then there was just nothing when she wasn’t named in any team/squad, no comms from anyone at all about it – so was left quite perplexed about it all (my mum was at a benchies lunch last week, and one of the ladies had been talking to Georgia just a couple of days before that)
Thatās a just wrong. All triallists should get a call and follow up whether in or out.
Feedback is essential to improving performance.
If youāre the likes of Georgia Heffernan and gone from starting against Australia (after being taken to Nations Cup as a training partner) to not even in the Development Squad you would have to think thereās some sort of conversation there?
Really gutting hearing about Takarangi. Puzzling that Mikaere made it (who also had a great year) while Takarangi didn’t get a look in. The Ferns have a history of missing the really obvious picks.
Sorry not sure where to post this- Kristiana Manu’a and Renee Savai’inaea both named for Samoa for this year’s PacificAus series.
Can’t remember if Savai’inaea has played for Samoa before, but this is definitely Manu’a’s first time- and third nation!
