extensive strapping on both of Walmsley’s shoulders on the news last night
Mystics with their standard starting 7.
Pulse starting 7 the same as last week too with Salmon and Metuarau at the shooting end
Pulse are in with a chance as long as Metuarau doesn’t become a loose cannon and penalise herself out of the game. Kelly will have her hands full with Nweke!!
Pulse are favourites in the betting but all the commentators are tipping Mystics.
A bit arrogant of the Mystics to not start with their strongest lineup (Vui at GA).
You could say the same for the pulse (Walmsley & Gordon)
True!
Either way, Mystics defence have rattled the Pulse and are leading 14-9 at Q1.
1/4 time: MYS 14-9
Sadly, not a good start from Pulse. 7 costly turnovers in the first quarter. Mystics have just gone about their work and built a handy lead. Toeava has 9 assists already.
Gains: 2-2
Penalties: MYS 19-17
Turnovers: PUL 7-2Unfortunately, an accidental head clash with Michaela Sokolich-Beatson has seen Whitney Souness leave the court after losing quite a bit of blood. Mystics lead 20-17.
Have only watched ANZP in patches this year, so looking forwrd to the Final.
Mystics attack end is frustrating. Some of those long feeds are great, but they would be unstoppable if they actually hit circle edge. Too much pressure on Nweke, and Jackson is all over her. Can’t rely on one player. Suprised to see Te Ao on court with a nearly fully bandaged hand???
Pulse defence end is great and Walmsley has come on with so much confidence. Mystics defense end doing a good job, but need some better smarts from Metaurau tbh. Would love to watch a Caris Stythe and Kelly Jackson defence end one day. Karaka although the leading the defence well from GK.
