Convincing win by the Mystics. Cant see anyone else beating them with Nweke there. No ones going to win a one on one jumping match in the circle against Nweke. She got 8 rebounds in the game. Mason also failed to contain Vui. Pulse shooting circle looked pretty messy. Although I thought the umpires, particularly the male umpire, let Karaka and co get away with a lot of physical play and the mystics seemed to get all the 50-50 calls and no calls. Well, the Pulse could have determined whether Mystics or Magic got through last week… just saying.
Don’t blame Bloxham for leaving the steel if she got a better offer!

Nweke can be stopped if Toeava is not there! I wonder how (or if) serious her injury is?
I’m hoping Toeava had bad cramp and that’s what brought her off. Fingers crossed for her that it’s nothing more serious
Big result in Rangiora.
Magic get up over the Tactix 51-49.
Tactix and Pulse play next week to host the final.
Comes down to the last games for Mystics and Magic respectively to confirm who comes third.
Magic getting up 51-49 over Tactix and keeping their season alive. With one match each to come, Tactix & Pulse are level on top, then Mystics are just one point ahead of Magic for third!
Hmmm not sure what to make of that from the Tactix.
Well done Magic! Both teams seemed to want to lose that game in the last quarter, but just one or two more mistakes from the Tactix were the difference. Was there a howler of an over-the-third call against the Tactix there though?
As the Mystics have beaten the other top three teams by double digits in the last two weeks, I can’t see any team getting past them.
At least it makes the final round interesting. Magic have done extremely well this ANZ with just one Silver Fern in the team, Meels was on form with her shooting today, some lovely long high floaty ones.
I wish – that coaches would not announce they are stepping down during the season – especially near the penultimate rounds of competition
I wish that players would keep their intentions out of the media during the season, particularly near the penultimate rounds.
Let the players/teams concentrate on completing their ANZ season first.
So for Magic to make finals, Mystics have to loose their last round game without a bonus point?
And Magic have to win?For Magic to go through over the Mystics, Magic would need to win and for the Mystics to lose, doesn’t matter if they lose with a bonus point or not because a Win is worth 3 points and Magic are behind by 1 point. That is if my math is correct…
Can someone confirm what happens to MSB now? In the VNSL, if a player gets 2 suspensions, they miss the next game. It happened to at least 3 players this season.
Will MSB miss the Stars game?
To be clear the VSNL suspensions weren’t in same game.
Mystics should dominate against Stars (?). But Stars have shown in the past to be a bit of a bogey team for Mystics. It’s generally that ONE game, where all Stars players play at a 1000%.
I really don’t see any team having an answer for the Nweke/Toeava combo. Match-up wise I think Pulse matches them.
