Walmsley also out for up to 8 weeks.
Barebones of healthy SF shooters left in the competition.
What’s going on so many young players getting injured so early in the season?
BREAKINGNEWS: The injury ward grows for @PulseNetball with Amelia Walmsley out with a knee injury.
She joins Maddy Gordon and Tiana Metuarau who are both also on the sidelines currently.
All the best Amelia for your recovery! #ANZP24 pic.twitter.com/5YrFPx5v9i

What’s with Jane and Karin injuring our Ferns GS’s! lol
Do have to wonder if the team medical staff are making correct decisions,
Walmsley seems to have had a knee brace for a while, Nweke issues with the knee perhaps hasn’t healed properly since the WC. Saunders heavy Strapping since she came back. With you on that @McLeod. I was wondering if players had specialist individiual training plans to suit their needs as the number of players with strapping on a knee is increasing and yet they continue to play. I know most are ‘niggles’ but is there something more that could be done to strengthen the knees (says she who is coming back from a knee replacement and religiously following instructions). Knees take the force when the ankles are firmly strapped – if the ankles can’t flex enough then the knees have to do it. Walmsley, Nweke, Williams, Bird, used to, or currently have knee strapping. Perhaps it should always be on, as an assistance.
Some of the mid court players need to change their game as well, the lets just biff it into Grace needs to stop.
She seems to be expected to catch far to many poorly placed passes, no wonder her knees are coming apart.
Walmsley gets herself in a tangle when catching passes at times.
Bird falls over, list goes on.There’s sports science behind why taping long term negatively affects the body. It should only be a short term thing.
The idea of a short, sharp ANZp next year could do wonders for load management.
Vicki Wilson’s visit to the Pulse couldn’t be more timely. Without knowing who will play today, I don’t think the Pulse can weather 3 injuries.
Jeepers. This would have to be the worst ANZP season for injuries.
Remembering Khiarna Williams hasn’t been playing full games as she’s not at 100% fitness either.
Any update on Metuarau’s return?
Welcome to the ANZp (starting) Salmon. Make the most of this opportunity.
