Unfortunately can’t seem to find stats and lineups etc for this series.
Adean Thomas opted out for Jamaica, and Jhaniele was ruled out medically- interesting they chose Romelda over Shimona to replace her. Poor thing really seems to be out of favour despite great performances.Shooters
Romelda Aiken-George
Shanice Beckford
Mischa Creary
Rhea Dixon (who debuted!)
Simone Gordon (she’s 196cm with a Koenen-like build, saw her at Fast5, and can also play GA)Midcourt
Abigale Sutherland
Khadijah WIliams
Crystal Plummer
Theresa Beckford
Zaudi Green (very promising but a bit undisciplined, saw her at Fast5)Defence
Shamera Sterling-Humphrey (C)
Kadie-Ann Dehaney
Latanya Wilson
Kimone Shaw
Jodi-Ann WardNot sure about starting lineup.
Is there anywhere to watch the replay of the game?
NetballPass!
Also, Jamaican starting lineup was Aiken-George/Beckford/Williams/Plummer/Wilson/Ward/Sterling-Humphrey.
Interesting that Jodi-Ann didnโt start.
She did! In at GD ๐
It was weird hearing the umpires so loudly over their microphones, which seemed to echo throughout the stadium (or maybe it was just my TV!). Such a good game to watch
My two cents on the game
Positives
– Tchine & Pearson were both superb.
– Beckford did a heap of work on attack for Jamaica. Unsure of shooting stats, but I reckon she shot just as many goals as Aiken
– Latanya Wilson was just phenomenal. I lost count of how many balls on the circle edge she disrupted
– Enjoyed the umpires mic’d up
– I thought Crystal Plummer was great in C for Jamaica. A few errors on attack but she was everywhere on defence.Negatives
– Aiken-George moved far too much. Out of the circle often and left Jamaica with no target.
– Khadijah Williams was gassed after about 5 mins. She is so talented but man if she could run out a quarter she’d be world class.
– Sterling was quiet for her standards. But I imagine she will be firing for Game 2.
– Alice Harvey had concrete feet and couldn’t get off the ground. Needs to work hard on her footwork if she wants further England opportunities.Team news is in ๐๏ธ

After the scores were level 24-24 at 1/2 time, England has pulled away for a 55-47 victory over the Sunshine Girls in test 2.
The move of Lois Pearson into GA and Housby to GS was a successful one for the Roses who take a 1-0 lead to Jamaica.
