Wasnt able to follow along with englands matches against NZ or Jamaica. anyone able to give an update on imogen allison, eager to see her in a new firebirds team

also how was Ward looking, worried that she might be falling into the same trap that RBD is falling into in which their chance to win ball and impress is limited due to the other teams having nsuch easy paths to their goal shooters due to inexperienced/shorter GKS

Ward had an absolute ripper series- working alongside Sterling-Humphrey and Wilson probably gives you the best possible chance to win ball! She did go down with a painful ankle injury, come back on, and then go off again in the last game, so hopefully she’s okay.

Allison has been solid, but IMO she’s a little overrated and the comparisons to Guthrie aren’t warranted. Her attack has been a bit lacklustre but she’s been doing a great job of flying for intercepts and standing up to physical play.

A really interesting international season. In the series between the top 4 teams, the lower ranked team won the series against the higher ranked one, with the exception of Australia beating England 2-1. I still think Jamaica and Australia are a nose ahead when they’re at their best, although the Constellation Cup did much to allay fears that NZ were falling away from the rest of the pack.

I think NZ will reclaim the #2 ranking now?

I haven’t been able to watch any of this series.
Was the unavailability of Housby, a key factor to Jamaica’s win?

I feel like England have really benefited from this international series. Having played all the top teams to round out the year. It’s probably given Thirlby a clear understanding of where her team sits, and the work that needs to be done.
