Has Van Der Berg been offered a contract in the NSlL, will she be taking potigiters place?
Yes she has! She’s signed to Thunder and pretty much replacing Potgieter.
Sorry do we know where Layla Guscoth is going?? She hasn’t retired … has she?
Apparently she’s taking a year off.
Elmere van der Berg replaces Potgieter at Thunder…

Did anyone see Potgieters Instagram post? ???? Poor thing. I wonder if she’ll be aloud to stay in Australia with her now husband since she won’t be playing next season.
@netballgirl – She can apply for a partner visa but they will need to meet the requirements. It’s also costly. My son, partner and grandson have been tied up in the pay a fortune for citizenship (I think) and jump through hoops, including costly medicals as well, only to be granted it less than 24hrs before the rules were changed and costs significantly reduced.
Whether she played in England or not this was always going to be the case once she left Australia.
I had assumed being let go was by mutual decision, or that she was on a one year contract which never guarantees a second season. With surgery on both knees it was to be expected really.
At the moment she remains in South Africa. He’s gone back to Australia.Hopefully since she’s lived in Australia before she can get a visa easy.
I’m not sure if it was a mutual decision because she unfollowed Thunder on Instagram.
