I hope Salmon gets a run out at GA. I think shes the next genuine GA for NZ after Ekenasio leaves. She’s tall and isn’t afraid of a long shot. Metuarau is to unreliable to rely on. She’s been in the environment for years now.
I’d love to see how Salmon would go with Ekenasio running out front at GA. That could be a great combo in the making.
They a had lovely clip on the news of Salmon smashing a long shot with the GA bib on.
Walmsley and Ekenasio,
Salmon and Wilson, Tui and Metuarau paired, whatever that means!I doubt Ferns are running main combos in front of the media
Keep refreshing the Ferns Instagram to see team/squad announcements. Thought it would’ve been by 10am. Definitely midday. Perhaps trying to get some clear air from the AB assistant coach/Leon Macdonald resignation??
Team is out, no real surprises. Perhaps O’brien? Erena played well, can’t really argue with that.
Wow, ok Peta your time with the ferns is up. Been failing these tests for years now.
I’m hoping Toeava is in the development side cause she failed the fitness test, and not because DNT rates other players better than her.
@TB everyone who failed the fitness test is in the development side.
Why put a player who will be out for the next 9 months (Mila) in the main squad when you could put someone in there who is actually able to play eg Earle or Edgecombe.
Why are we going back to Maia Wilson…
No Georgia Heffernan or Georgia Takarangi in either squad.
Takarangi and Dunn nowhere to be seen?
Happy to see Mikaere named – hope she makes the 12 for internationals.
@Nesian thanks! That makes sense.
Okay I’m probably not that upset about the team now 😊Re Maia Wilson: I do believe she’s earnt her spot in the team. But must agree @moooz will she be used?
Does Tui have an injury? If not, then I am disappointed she’s not making fitness standards. If these veterans (Wilson, Eke, Erena) are making it, these young ones should be too.
