              See-sawing first quarter. Kiera Austin is playing well though which usually bodes well for the Vixens!

                A very tense, nervous sort of start from both sides. The pressure of the match is showing. Nobody really standing out. Vixens heavily penalised so far.

                    From ChampionData it appears Mundy has had an introduction to international netball? Not watching so can’t say for sure.

                      Lauren Frew is off. She fell in the goal circle and Emily Mannix tumbled over on top of her. Hopefully she’s okay. She was playing so well to that point.

                        This will be a great test of Horjus’ ability at GA against Weston. Last year they mostly used Dwan against her, and they lost the game against Vixens where Dwan didn’t play (by quite a lot).

                          1/2 time: Tbirds 32-25

                          Brilliant stuff from Horjus & Aiken-George to end the Q for the Tbirds. They stamped some authority on the game in that Q, winning it 17-10. The gains statistic tells the story…

                          Gains: THU 7-1
                          Penalties: VIX 34-22

                            Yes Mundy, like many before her, was not being overly successful in outrunning/outmuscling Latty Wilson.

                              Mundy went out and played exactly like she should not have. Trying to play bigger than Wilson. Wilson will win like that. In 10 minutes Walters has double the feeds and same goal assists as Mundy has in twice as much court time. Walters was just calm and using lots of short movement and direction changes.

                              But Vixens biggest problem tonight is lack of defensive pressure not a single deflection or defensive rebound this far. They got the starting 7 wrong. Ellis on Aiken isn’t a great match up, hasn’t worked at least 3 times this year before tonight. Wouldn’t mind seeing Mundy in C and Moloney at WD.

                              Not sure if I misheard but did Chatfield say Eddy will be playing with reserves tonight?

                                Moloney off, interesting. Didn’t think she was the problem but important for Vixens to get court time in their young midcourt.
