Ervin would look great at the Giants. I think for the good of the Diamonds she can’t be at the same club as Bruce, they will eat into each other’s court time too much.
Giants might be shopping for a GS as well as this surely has to Harten’s last season. Perhaps the Jamaican connection with Ward might make the Giants a more attractive to Jok if she was prepared to move from Melbourne. The Jamaicans seem to bring out the best in each other as we can see in the Tbirds and Fever.
Harten is theoretically signed for next year too, but it depends on if her body holds up.
If I were Ervin I’d stay at SCL. Ervin backed herself this year and has flourished. FBs apparently offered her at least double than what SCL did and she chose the environment. I can see Ervin being the starting Diamonds GK in a year. So clean and attacking. It’s Bruce’s court time that will be limited.
If Lightning loose both their games, which is highly possibly. And if Mavericks beat the Giants. They may sneak into the finals.
Lightning loss to Mavs definitely sets up an exciting last two rounds. Tbirds potentially chasing a minor premiership and SCL chasing a finals spot to play the last game. Not an easy task for either team. Could be a cracker way to set up finals.
TBirds had Frew and Williams in moon boots after the game. Other sides are welcoming players back. So much to play out.

Oh dear…
TEAM UPDATE: Shooter Donnell Wallam will miss today's match against the NSW Swifts due to illness. Our 11th player Ali Miller will come into the team in Wallam's place.

Aren’t most of Giants on 2/3 year contracts? Apart from Winders.Curious how this works out as it looks like wooden spoon for them, Do they have a Claus where contracts can be broken on both sides?,for example to bolster a squad next year or players unhappy amount of court time they recieve?
Can’t see Firebirds getting anywhere near a win now.

McDonell and O’Brien are only on a 1-year so hopefully with more defensive prowess they can challenge- it’s actually a very solid midcourt, and Letherbarrow/Dwyer will only get more potent.
Interesting re Firebirds offering her double. I always thought Bulley offered Kamo the spot in the contracted 10 which meant Ervin was still a training partner at the Firebirds. Then a spot opened up at SCL..
I think Reynolds/Lightning are trying to give Bruce court time to get her right for the finals (should they make it).
Ervin has been playing out of her skin but the pressure of finals/knock out games is lot to carry on her young shoulders. Getting Bruce conditioned to playing a full match at a decent standard is very important to their chances over the next few weeks.
How much notice did Wallam have for the illness? Gretel is here, maybe she should’ve stepped in hahaha!
Swifts will win, surely. From here, their warmup looks more switched on and more fluid. Best of luck to Firebirds anyway.
