Rav out on court for the last 7 minutes of her career. Hopefully for her, the Firebirds can lift. But Vixens will be looking to push this lead out. Vixens 58-45

3 1/2 mins left in this one. Vixens out by 10. will they try to extend their lead with super shots or play it safe?

          Full time: VIX 62-52

Vixens couldn’t extend their lead in that last Q and win by 10. They probably would have liked a bigger margin, but the win is most important. Kiera Austin had a fine game and was judged POTM.

Meanwhile, a legend bows out. Thanks Rav.

Vixens % ends up at 111.56%.

Percentage is a bit tricky to work out. It’s not easy like goal difference to work out what Fever has to do now. But here are some scores that would see Fever go ahead of Vixens…

            60-38
            65-42
            70-47
            75-51
            80-56

Mavericks another team with an intriguing shooting end for next year. Presumably they’ll have Cardwell and Glasgow, I assume they keep Jok? What about Sinclair?

We’re underway in Perth in front of another huge crowd. To go ahead of Vixens, Fever likely needs to win this match by around 24 goals. Meanwhile, Mavericks MUST win to have a shot at making finals.

Also as much as I think their defence end has performed admirably this year, realistically they need at least one taller defender.

                    1/4 time: Fever 20-15

A good start to this one. Fever applying the pressure but they certainly haven’t blown Mavericks away at this stage. Jhaniele sitting on 19/19!

                    Gains: MAV 3-1
                    Penalties: MAV 15-11
                    Turnovers: MAV 4-3

Mavs taking it right up to Fever here! Halfway through the second Q and Fever leads 26-22. Another great game from Kim Jenner so far.

                        1/2 time: Fever 34-30

What a scrap this is. Great effort from Mavs so far, but Fever just has the advantage. Not looking like a big win for Fever at this stage, but let’s see what happens in the 2nd half.

                        Gains: MAV 6-5
                        Penalties: MAV 30-28
                        Turnovers: 9-9

Judging from the change room footage, Fever are moving to Browne in WA and ATN in GA. As a Fever fan, I am very scared of ATN in GA lol.

Teague-Neeld to GA in place of Beckford in this quarter, with Browne coming on at WA. Cardwell has also been replaced by Jok for Mavs. Fever leads 43-37

It’s all fallen apart for the Mavs a bit this quarter.

Fever on a run here, 18-11 up so far in this quarter and pushing hard. Fever 52-41

                                  3/4 time: Fever 56-43

Mavs have been gallant but they fell away slightly in that Q. Fever won it 22-13, but they’ll need an even bigger margin in this last quarter to go past Vixens on percentage.

                                  Gains: FEV 10-6
                                  Penalties: MAV 49-39
                                  Turnovers: 12-12
