Giants completely ineffective in defence, but also incredibly stagnant in attack. I don’t think Pitman is the answer at WA. It’s not great to see. But Wallam is having a blinder so far!

1/4 time: Firebirds 21-11

Donnell Wallam hits a super shot on the buzzer in the first quarter and shoots the Firebirds out to a 10 goal lead. They’ve been in control for most of the quarter, and on this occasion, super shots couldn’t help Giants reel them in.

The Giants are a complete shambles. Pitman was a mistake and they desperately need some height in defence. Dwyer is having another shocker.

Dwan is so scared to shoot (of course she gets a SS as I write this lol). Would love to see her take some more shots, even if Wallam is absolutely dominating against this defence line, if for nothing else but her Diamonds future.

Giants have pulled this back with supershots, down by just 4 at quarter time. Not a very pretty quarter to watch!
