Don’t think it’s been talked enough how much better Dehaney looks following her move to Fever. Far fewer penalties and getting hand to clean ball/putting immense pressure over the shot.
Firebirds are going to be lucky not to have 100 put on them at this rate.
Moore needed to come on but despite Wallam’s misses I am not sure she should have been the one to come off.
1/2 time: Fever 49-28
Things go from bad to worse for Firebirds, outscored 23-12 in that Q and Fever is still on target to beat the 97 from last year. Fowler has 40/42 already, Beckford has 6/6 plus 15 assists, and Fran Williams is killing it with 5 gains.
@Guyza I was just thinking that! She looks happier playing with two other Jamaicans, hadn’t even noticed how cleanly she was being but you’re so right.
Glad to see Beckford not being afraid to shoot- she always chooses the right option, whether it’s shoot or pass off.
Also WHY will Bulley not put Veve in C?? Gardner has 4 turnovers and Veve was playing just fine, although I think Rav into WD was a good move.

In the corresponding match last year, Fever led 50-30 at half time. This year it’s 49-28.
Olivia Wilkinson has come on for Shanice Beckford, so now all 20 players have got on court.
How much do you think Fever would have to be up for JFN to be rested? It would be cool to see a moving circle just to see something different
Veve in centre now, and Emily Moore has done a good job since coming on. Let’s see if Firebirds can pull back some of this lead.
How on earth do Fever only have 21 penalties at 3/4 time. Wow.
3/4 time: Fever 74-48
This must be so demoralising for Firebirds, but also scary for every other team in the comp. Shanice Beckford was dominating at GA, she gets replaced and Olivia Wilkinson just carries on. Fowler with 53 goals already, and a quarter to go.
Are we going to see the first ever score of 100?
Fever is just relentlessly powering on. They lead 85-53 with still 8 1/2 minutes left.
Wow they actually did it and took JFN off!
The Aryang sisters were just passing the ball back and forth between each other there. Ruth currently has more NNP than Sunday! Fever leads 87-56 with 3 minutes left.
Full time! It finishes at Fever 94-58.
36 is the margin. Last year it was 34. That was relentless, not just in attack but also defence. Fever had 20 gains (7 to Williams). That is the fourth time in five rounds that Fever has had more gains than turnovers.
So that’s the two highest scores and the two biggest margins in SSN history, both to Fever against Firebirds on this court. If it’s any consolation to Firebirds fans, after last year’s big defeat, they incredibly came straight out and won the very next week!
